APSC Recruitment 2024
Assam Public Service Commission invites applications from Indian Citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India for the following posts under the Assam Government. The posts are in the scale of pay as indicated below, along with usual allowances admissible under the Rules of the Government of Assam.
Qualification Details
- Master's Degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks.
- M.Ed. with minimum 55% marks.
- Must have qualified NET/SLET/Ph.D. from any recognized University.
Subjects include:
- English/ELT, Assamese, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Life Science, Bio Science, Geography, History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), Psychology, Education (M.A.), Fine Arts (MFA/MVA), Humanities/ Social Science/ Science, Economics/ Statistics/ Geography/Public Administration, Child Development, Information Technology, Communication/Mass Communication/Commercial Art/Films & TV Programme/Engineering.
Additional requirements may include:
- Degree/Diploma in Adult Education/ Social Work/ Community Development/ Rural Development/ Women's Studies/ Communication/ Journalism.
- Training or work experience in basic Education/ SUPW/ Vocational Education/Craft Education.
- Two years Diploma in a technical trade recognized by the Director General of Employment & Training.
Age Limit
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of 01/10/2024.
- The upper age limit is relaxable:
- By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, making it up to 43 years.
- By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates as per Government Notification No. ABP. 6/2016/9 dated Dispur, 25th April 2018, making it up to 41 years.
- Persons with benchmark disability (PwBD) are eligible for a relaxation of 10 years irrespective of category, as per Government Memorandum No. ABP 180120171105 dated Dispur, 7th January 2019.
- Age eligibility will be determined based on the Class X/XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council, clearly indicating Age/Date of Birth (DOB).
- No other document will be accepted as proof of age in place of the aforementioned documents.

Application Fee
Under the Digital lndia initiative by Minisky of Electronics and lnformation Technology (MeitY), Government of lndia, APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV, a MeitY approved organization, which willcharge a processing fee of Rs.40.00/- + 18% tax = Rs.47.20/- from each candidate. The Application Fee is as per Govt. Notification No. FEG.32I2016/8-A dated Dispur the 28th October,2016 communicated vide letter No.ABP,60/2014111 dated 2no February 2018,
- General candidates: Rs. 297.20
- SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates: Rs. 197.20
- BPL (Below Poverty Line) candidates: Rs. 47.20
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): Rs. 47.20
How to Apply
- Application Process: All applicants must apply online through APSC's recruitment website at https://apscrecruitment.in. No other methods of application will be considered, and applications submitted through other means will be rejected outright.
- Registration Requirement: New applicants must register on the APSC recruitment website by clicking the 'Register Here' link and completing the One Time Registration (OTR) process. This involves providing basic details.
- Login: After registration, applicants need to log in using their credentials to access the application form.
- OTR Details: Upon login, applicants must fill in One Time Registration details including personal information, educational qualifications, work experience, and upload a recent photo (50 KB to 200 KB, not older than 3 months) and signature (50 KB to 200 KB).
- Document Submission: Required documents and information must be submitted online. Once submitted, applicants can download their One Time Registration details.
- Application Submission: Navigate to 'Applicant Section => Apply Section' on the website to submit the application form.
- Read Eligibility Criteria: Applicants are advised to carefully read the eligibility criteria and other relevant details before applying.
- Mandatory Fields: Mandatory fields in the online form are marked with an asterisk (*).
- Closing Date: The eligibility of candidates will be determined as of the closing date for submitting the Online Recruitment Application on https://apscrecruitment.in, unless specified otherwise in the recruitment advertisement.
Documents Required
- Class X/XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Mark Sheet issued by Central/State Board, clearly indicating Date of Birth.
- Certificates and Mark Sheets of all examinations from HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) onwards up to the qualifying examination level.
- Degree certificate or provisional certificate along with mark sheets for all academic years to prove educational qualifications.
- Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application, if applicable.
- Caste certificate issued by the Government of Assam for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates, specifying the caste, the Act/Order under which it is recognized, and the candidate's ordinary residence.
- BPL (Below Poverty Line) certificate issued by the Government of Assam, if applicable.
- Declaration Form-A related to the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019, available for download from APSC's official website.
- Documentary evidence supporting any other claims made by the candidate.
