Recognizing Arms & Ammunition as a potential diversification opportunity, BEL is actively seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of General Manager - Arms & Ammunition (E-VIII level) with a salary scale ranging from Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000.
Qualification
Candidates must possess a first-class degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engg.) or its equivalent. Additionally, candidates with a postgraduate degree, diploma, or technical certification from a reputed institute in Advanced Weapons, Guided Weapons, Ammunition & Explosive manufacturing, or Explosion & Safety will be preferred.
Field specific Experience
The candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of cumulative experience in the Development, Trials, Validation, and Production of Missiles, Rockets, Bombs, Ammunition, or Explosives from a reputable organization.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for general candidates is 55 years. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen, the upper age limit is relaxable as per government guidelines. However, even with relaxation, the maximum age should not exceed 57 years.
Pay Scale
- The position of General Manager at Bharat Electronics Limited offers a pay scale ranging from Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000.
- In addition to the basic pay, candidates will be entitled to Industrial Dearness Allowance, Perquisites & Allowances amounting to 35% of the applicable Basic Pay under the cafeteria system.
- They will also have the option of Company Accommodation or House Rent Allowance, Provident Fund, Gratuity, etc., as per prevailing company rules.
- The executive will further qualify for Performance Related Pay (PRP), an earnings opportunity contingent upon individual performance and the company’s overall performance.
Selection Procedure
Selection will be based on a personal interview. In the event that the number of eligible candidates exceeds the available positions, only those shortlisted based on their qualifications and relevant experience in Arms & Ammunition will be invited for the interview.

- PUC/12th Class/Diploma Marks Card (self-attested copy).
- Engineering Degree Marks cards for all semesters/years (self-attested copies).
- Provisional/Final Degree Certificate (self-attested copy).
- Certification Course Certificate (self-attested copy).
- Candidates belonging to PwBD must submit a Disability Certificate in the prescribed format. Those claiming reservation must ensure this certificate meets the specified requirements.
- Candidates currently employed in PSUs/Government organizations/Quasi-Government organizations must provide a 'No Objection Certificate' either at the time of application or during the interview.
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) must provide a Discharge Certificate specifying the date of enrollment, date of discharge, and rank at the time of leaving the defense forces.
- For candidates who are yet to be discharged, proof of rank, date of joining, and probable date of discharge should be submitted.
