The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is a statutory organization operating under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution of the Government of India. As the National Standards Body of India, BIS is responsible for standardization, product and system certification, hallmarking, and laboratory testing across the country.

Educational Qualifications

A regular graduation degree in any discipline of Science, Engineering, or a BE/B-Tech from a recognized university.
A regular MBA or equivalent in Marketing/Sales, Retail Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management from a recognized university.
Additionally, candidates must have at least two years of experience in Marketing or related fields. Experience with Management System Certification is preferred.

Pay Scale

Rs. 70,000/- (fixed for two years). A consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.70,000/- (Rupees Seventy Thousand only), fixed for two years, will be paid to the Young Professional. The remuneration is subject to statutory deductions.

Place of Posting

Young Professionals shall be posted at Bureau of Indian Standards, Northern Regional Office , Chandigarh.

Selection Process

All applications received will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the qualifications, experience, and other details provided in the application form. Meeting the minimum qualifications or being shortlisted does not guarantee selection as a Young Professional. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to undergo various assessments, including practical, written, technical knowledge evaluations, and interviews. BIS reserves the right to reject any or all applications without providing reasons.
