Eligibility Criteria

  • Essential:

    • Completion of Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized Board.
    • Previous experience as Cabin Crew, Senior Cabin Crew, or In-flight Safety Auditor.
    • A total of fifteen years of experience in roles such as Cabin Crew, Senior Cabin Crew, or In-flight Safety Auditor.
  • Desirable:

    • Graduation from a recognized university.

Age Limit: Maximum age of 60 years.

  • The deadline for submitting online applications is June 7, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
  • Before applying, candidates should thoroughly read the Vacancy Circular and confirm they meet the essential requirements. They should also have original documents to support the information provided in the online application form.
  • After successfully submitting the online application, applicants will receive a copy of the filled-in application form via email. They should print this form, affix their current photograph (with a signature across it), sign the application in the designated space, and send it along with any required No Objection Certificate from their current employer (if applicable), and legible, self-attested photocopies of documents supporting the essential requirements.
  • This should be done via speed post, courier, or by hand in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the vacancy they applied for, to the Recruitment Section at A Block, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Opposite Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi-110 003. The deadline for this submission is June 14, 2024, by 3:00 PM.

Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Giving tasks to the person who checks airplane safety inside the cabin.

(ii) Being in charge and making sure things are done correctly.

(iii) Going to meetings about checking airplane safety rules and how well they're followed.

(iv) Making rules and ways to keep airplane cabins safe, working with other safety inspectors.

(v) Checking and keeping an eye on how safe airplane cabins are, including doing checks, watching over them, and saying if they're okay.

(vi) Giving good advice and help with technical stuff about keeping airplane cabins safe to the aviation authority.

(vii) Making sure certain things are safe, like instruction manuals, emergency exits, and showing how to get off the plane quickly in an emergency. Also, checking crew training and approving new planes.

(viii) Approving people who teach safety to flight attendants, checking training centers, saying training manuals are okay, making sure emergency exit trainers work, and accepting safety manuals.

(ix) Keeping an eye on airplane cabins during flights and checking out bases where airplanes operate and where flight crews are trained.
