Method of Selection

Qualifying Tests:

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will invite a sufficient number of candidates for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST) based on their merit in the Common Eligibility Test (CET). Both tests are qualifying in nature only. The HSSC may conduct these tests in multiple batches, as necessary, to shortlist candidates up to four times the number of advertised posts for each category for the Knowledge Test.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

To ensure fairness and prevent tampering, the Physical Measurement Test will use standard digital measurement devices whenever possible. Candidates will be able to view their measurements on a digital display monitor. The results of the PMT will be published on the HSSC's official website. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed standards will be disqualified from the further selection process. Only those who qualify the PMT will advance to the next stages of selection.

Physical Screening Test (PST):

Candidates are responsible for ensuring their medical fitness to participate in the Physical Screening Test. Results will be published on the HSSC’s official website, and candidates failing to meet the standards will be disqualified from further selection. Only those who meet the standards for the PST will proceed to the next stage.

Knowledge Test (94.5% Weightage):

All candidates must take a Knowledge Test, which carries 94.5% of the total weightage. This test will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying equal marks. The test will be bilingual (Hindi/English), except where testing knowledge of Hindi/English is required. To be considered for a general category post, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks. Reserved category candidates (both vertical and horizontal) are allowed a 10% concession, setting the minimum cut-off at 40%.

Additional Weightage (Maximum 03 Marks):

Candidates with NCC certificates will receive additional marks: 1 mark for an A-level certificate, 2 marks for a B-level certificate, and 3 marks for a C-level certificate.
