Selection Process
Stage 2 Exam
Candidates who have passed the first stage need to upload additional documents for the second stage. The Stage 2 exam is important and includes multiple assessments that you must pass. This stage lasts 1-2 days and will be held at designated centers. Only those who pass Stage 2 will continue in the recruitment process.
Cut-off Marks and Ranking
The ICG has released the cut-off marks along with the results. Your rank for selection is based on your combined scores from all stages of the CGEPT process. You must also pass a medical examination to ensure you are fit for service.
Final Recruitment
After passing all stages, candidates must undergo training, which is required for final recruitment into the Indian Coast Guard. Security checks and identity verification are done before each written exam to ensure the process is fair. You can check the official website if you have any doubts.
ICG CGEPT
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) selection process is competitive, involving a written exam (CGEPT) and multiple stages. If you passed the April 2024 ICG CGEPT 02/2024 exam and are shortlisted for the second stage, you will need to upload additional documents.
Your ranking for selection is based on your combined scores from all four stages of the ICG CGEPT process. Even with a high ranking, you must also pass a medical exam. After completing all stages, successful completion of training is required for final recruitment. Mandatory identity checks are conducted before each written exam (Stages I-III) to ensure security.
