ICMR Recruitment 2024
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous organization under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is seeking applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) from qualified candidates for the position of Engagement Consultant (Legal) at its headquarters in New Delhi. The organization invites online applications for the engagement of two Consultants (Legal) at ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Requirement:
- Applicants should be not more than 63 years old as of the last date for receiving applications.
Essential Qualifications:
- Three-year Graduate Course in LLB or integrated LLB from a university approved by UGC.
Desirable Qualifications:
- LLM (Two-year course) from a university approved by UGC.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using computers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience in handling Legal Information Management Portal.
Experience:
- Minimum five years of court litigation practice as an Advocate before any judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
- Minimum five years of working experience in Central Government Ministries/Organizations/PSUs handling court matters.
Salary Details
- The remuneration for the position of Engagement Consultant (Legal) at ICMR Headquarters in New Delhi will be in the range of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 per month.
- The exact amount within this range will depend on factors such as educational qualifications, relevant experience, last pay drawn, and functional requirements of the role.
- For retired Government employees, the remuneration will be determined according to Office Memorandum No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 9th December 2020 issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. It will be calculated as (Last pay drawn minus pension).
- The consultancy fees will be paid monthly in Indian Rupees, and once fixed, the amount will remain unchanged throughout the term of engagement.
- If the contract is renewed, terms and conditions may be reconsidered afresh.
Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will receive notification of the interview via email, or they can visit our website for updates related to the advertisement.
- The shortlisting of candidates for the interview will primarily be based on their educational qualifications and experience.
- However, if the number of shortlisted candidates is high and it is not feasible to interview all of them, the appointing authority may establish specific criteria to further narrow down the selection.
- The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in both the written test and the interview process.
Application Procedure
- Candidates who meet the required qualifications and experience must apply online using the prescribed application format.
- They must upload all relevant educational documents, photographs, experience certificates, Pension Pay Order/Salary slips. Applications lacking these documents will be rejected.
- Applications sent via email or in physical form will not be considered.
- Candidates must submit self-attested copies of proof of age, educational qualifications, experience certificates, testimonials, etc., at the time of joining if they are selected.
- Selected candidates must bring all original documents mentioned above for verification.
- Incomplete applications, applications not submitted in the prescribed format, applications without a photo or signature, or applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
- Providing incorrect or false information will lead to disqualification at any stage of the recruitment process.
- If applying for more than one post, candidates must submit separate applications for each post.
- The last date for submitting online applications is 2nd August 2024, until 5:30 PM. Selected candidates will be stationed at ICMR Headquarters in New Delhi.
