IISER Counselling 2024

IISER Counselling 2024 is a process for students who have qualified in the IISER Aptitude Test to gain admission to the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research. The counselling process starts on June 25, 2024, and candidates must complete their registration by July 1, 2024.

During this period, students will be able to fill in their choices for courses and institutes. The entire process ensures that seats are allotted based on the candidates' performance and preferences.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have qualified in the IISER Aptitude Test.
  • Eligibility is also open to candidates with valid KVPY fellowships.
  • Candidates who have cleared the JEE Advanced exam are eligible.
  • Candidates must have passed their Class 12th exams with science subjects.
  • Separate merit lists are prepared for each admission channel (KVPY, SCB, JEE Advanced).
  • Only candidates whose names appear on the IISER merit list can participate in the counselling.

Withdrawal Process

Here are the points for the withdrawal process in IISER Counselling 2024:

  • Candidates can withdraw their offer by selecting the "WITHDRAW OFFER" button in the application portal.
  • Withdrawal requests must be made before the specified deadlines to avoid cancellation fees.
  • Once withdrawn, candidates cannot re-enter the counselling process.
  • The application fee is non-refundable.
  • Refund of the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) depends on the withdrawal date:
    1. No cancellation fee if withdrawn before the round-wise (RW) deadline.
    2. A non-refundable amount may be deducted if withdrawn after RW but before the final withdrawal (FW) deadline.
  • SAF not withdrawn by FW deadline will be transferred to the allotted IISER.
  • If a candidate fails to join after acceptance, cancellation fees may apply as per the institute's policy.
