Seat Booking Process
After being selected in an admission list, candidates need to reserve their seats:
Key Points to Note
- The admission lists are available only on the official JOAPS portal.
- Candidates can choose to accept, upgrade, or reject their seats.
- Valid certificates are required for EWS or OBC category candidates.
- "Accept with Upgrade" allows candidates to upgrade their seats in subsequent rounds.
- "Accept and Freeze" confirms the seat by paying the booking fee.
- "Reject and Quit" allows candidates to cancel their admission with a refundable fee of ₹1000.
How to Check the IIT JAM 2024 Admission List?
To check if you have been selected in the admission list:
- Visit the JOAPS Portal: Go to jam.iitm.ac.in.
- Login: Enter your enrollment number and password.
- Captcha: Solve the arithmetic expression captcha.
- Submit: Click on the “Submit” button.
- View Admission List: The list will be displayed on the screen.
- Download: Save the admission list for future reference.
