JEE
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance assessment in India, used for admission to various engineering colleges. It consists of two exams: JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) oversees the joint admission process for 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs), based on a student's rank in either JEE-Main or JEE-Advanced.
Some institutes, like IISERs, IIPE, RGIPT, IIST, and IISc, use JEE-Advanced scores for admission but are not part of the JoSAA counselling process. Students admitted to IITs cannot retake JEE-Advanced, unlike those in NITs, IISc, IISERs, RGIPT, IIPE, and IIST.
