JoSAA Counselling Registration 2024
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is conducting counselling for admissions to 121 institutes for the academic year 2024-25. This includes prestigious institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).
Eligibility for JoSAA Counselling 2024
Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2024 conducted by IIT Madras are eligible to participate in JoSAA counseling 2024.

There are a total of 121 participating institutes, including:
Counselling Process
- Choice Filling: Candidates can fill in their choices of institutes and courses. Changes can be made until the deadline. Once closed, no further edits are allowed.
- Choice Locking: If choices are not locked manually, the last saved choices will be automatically locked at the deadline. These choices will be considered for seat allocation.
- Float or Slide Option: Candidates can opt for float or slide if they are not satisfied with the seat allocated in a round. However, once a higher preference seat is accepted, the previous allocation is forfeited.
- Accepting Seats: To accept a seat, candidates need to select 'accept', upload documents, and make the seat acceptance fee payment. Failure to complete any of these steps will result in allocation cancellation.
- Freeze Option: Candidates satisfied with the allocated seat and not interested in further rounds can choose the 'freeze' option.
