North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) has announced its recruitment drive for 2024, inviting applications for Executive Trainee positions in the Electrical/Mechanical, Finance, and Human Resources disciplines. Located in Shillong, Meghalaya, NEEPCO is a Schedule –‘A’ "Mini Ratna" CPSE and a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

Qualification
Here are the qualification requirements for the various Executive Trainee positions at NEEPCO:

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Only Indian nationals above 18 years can apply.
- Age Limit:
- For Executive Trainee (Electrical / Mechanical) and Executive Trainee (Finance): Maximum age is 30 years for UR/EWS candidates and 35 years for SC/ST candidates as of May 1, 2024.
- For Executive Trainee (Human Resources): Maximum age is 30 years for UR/EWS candidates.
- Application Fee: General, EWS, and OBC candidates need to pay ₹560/- as a non-refundable application fee. SC/ST/PwBD/ESM and female candidates are exempt from the fee.
- Documents: Candidates must have scanned copies of essential documents such as educational certificates, GATE 2024 scorecard, UGC-NET 2023 scorecard (where applicable), caste certificate (if applicable), EWS certificate issued in the current financial year (if applicable), and a recent passport size photograph and signature for online application.

Salary
The selected candidates for Executive Trainee positions at NEEPCO will be placed in the IDA pay scale of ₹50,000-3%-1,60,000/- per month. In addition to the basic pay, they will receive Dearness Allowance (DA) at 43.7% of the Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance (HRA), if not provided with accommodation, Cafeteria allowance at 35% of Basic Pay, Location Based Allowance (LBA) at 10% of Basic Pay, and contributions towards Provident Fund and NEEPCO Employees, Defined Contribution Superannuation Scheme.
The minimum monthly emoluments are approximately ₹94,350/-, including various benefits such as Leave, Medical Benefits, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Gratuity, and others as per company rules.
Process of Selection
Scrutiny of Online Applications:

Shortlisting:
Based on the scrutiny, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the next stage.
Online Personal Interview:
Shortlisted candidates will undergo an Online Personal Interview conducted as per the schedule decided by NEEPCO.

Call letters for the Online Personal Interview will be available for download in PDF format on the online Recruitment Portal. Candidates will also receive notifications via SMS or email.

Criteria Adjustment:
NEEPCO reserves the right to adjust eligibility criteria and decide on the number of candidates based on the number of applications received.
Merit List and Offer of Appointment:
Candidates will be ranked in order of merit. The Offer of Appointment will be issued to suitable candidates based on the merit list and organizational requirements.
Tie-breaking:
In case of tie-in marks, the candidate with the older date of birth (elder in age) will be given preference in the merit list.
