NPCIL, a leading Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, possesses extensive expertise in various aspects of Nuclear Technology. This includes site selection, design, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance, renovation, modernization, upgradation, plant life extension, waste management, and decommissioning of nuclear reactors across India.
Narora Atomic Power Station, NPCIL, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the following positions, encompassing diverse and challenging responsibilities:

Essential Qualifications
Nurse – A:
- XII Standard and Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3 years course) or B.Sc.(Nursing).
- Nursing Certificate with 3 years’ experience in a hospital.
- Nursing Assistant Class III & above from the Armed forces.
Category-I Stipendiary Trainee (ST/SA) - Diploma Holders in Engineering:
- Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
- The diploma in Engineering should be of 03 years duration after SSC/HSC or through lateral entry to 2nd year after HSC approved by AICTE.
- English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) – Science Graduates:
- B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks.
- B.Sc. shall be with Physics as principal and Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary, OR with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage.
- English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examinations is compulsory.
- Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential.
- Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible.
Category-II Stipendiary Trainee/ (ST/TN):
- SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks in Science subject(s) and Mathematics individually.
- 2 years ITI certificate in relevant trade (Fitter/Electrician/Instrumentation).
- English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.
- Relevant working experience after completion of the ITI course may be required for some trades.
Category-II Stipendiary Trainee(ST/TN) Operator:
- HSC (10+2) or ISC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.
X-Ray Technician (Technician-C):
- HSC (10+2) with minimum 60% marks in Science.
- 1 year Medical Radiography/ X-Ray Technique Trade Certificate.
- Minimum 02 years post qualification work experience in Medical Radiography/ X-Ray.
Stipend Details
- Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/ Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) - Diploma Holders in Engineering / Science Graduates: Rs.24000/- P.M. for 1st year. Rs.26000/- P.M. for next 06 months.
- Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN) and Category-II Stipendiary Trainee (ST/TN) Operator: Rs. 20000/- P.M. for 1st year. Rs.22000/- P.M. for 2nd year.
- Nurse – A: Initial Pay of Rs. 44,900/- in level 7 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016.
- Scientific Assistant/B: Rs.35,400/-
- X-Ray Technician (Technician-C): Rs.25,500/-
Place of posting
The place of posting for positions at NPCIL, specifically Narora Atomic Power Station, entails the possibility of transfer to any other Units, Sites, or Headquarters of NPCIL as per organizational requirements and policies.
Selection Procedure
- The number of candidates shortlisted for Personal Interview will depend on the number qualifying for the interview, not exceeding 5 times the number of vacancies in all categories.
- If an adequate number of candidates are not available, only qualified candidates will be interviewed. In case of a tie, the number of candidates interviewed may exceed the 5 times limit.
- The Merit List will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination and Personal Interview.
- Applicants can choose to answer interview questions in either Hindi or English.

- Online registration starts from 16/07/2024 at 10:00 Hrs and ends on 05/08/2024 at 16:00 Hrs.
- Applicants should prepare necessary information such as qualification details, experience, percentage of marks, email address, contact mobile number, and correspondence address before applying online.
- Before applying, scan a recent photograph in JPEG format (not exceeding 50KB, minimum dimensions 240 x 180 pixels, maximum dimensions 640 x 480 pixels) and a signature in JPEG format (not exceeding 20KB, minimum dimensions 80 x 100 pixels, maximum dimensions 160 x 560 pixels).
- The uploaded photograph will be printed on the eAdmit Card/Personal Interview/Skill test/Physical Standard Examination Call Letter. Only applicants with a printed photograph on their admit card/call letter will be permitted to attend the test/interview/skill test/physical examination.
- Ensure that the online application form includes a valid signature and photograph, as forms without these will not be accepted.
