RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria And Age Limit

  • Citizenship: Indian citizens, subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, Tibetan Refugees, or persons of Indian origin.
  • Age Limit: Between 21 and 30 years, with relaxations for specific categories.

RBI Grade-B Educational Qualification

Posts Minimum Educational Qualifications
Grade 'B' (DR) - (General) Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or equivalent.
Grade 'B' (DR) - DEPR Master's degree in Economics/Econometrics/Finance with minimum 55% marks or equivalent.
Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.

RBI Grade B 2024 Syllabus

English: Grammar, Vocabulary, Error Spotting, Comprehension, Passage Making, Jumble Words, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Framing.

Quantitative Aptitude: Mensuration, Time and Work, Average, Ratio, Percentages, Speed, Distance and Time, Mixture and Allegations, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Data Interpretation.

Reasoning: Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Direction and Distance, Data Sufficiency, Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Inequality.

General Awareness: Banking & Financial Awareness, Monetary Policies, Economic Terms, Current Affairs, Financial & Economics News, Static GK, Government Schemes, Agreements & Deals, Banking terms, rates, and processes.

RBI Grade B 2024 Exam Pattern

Phase-I (Prelims) Exam:

  • Sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning.
  • Total Marks: 200.
  • Duration: 2 hours.
  • Type: Objective.

Phase-II (Mains) Exam:

  • Paper I: Economics and Social Issues (Objective + Descriptive).
  • Paper II: English (Descriptive).
  • Paper III: Finance and Management (Objective + Descriptive).

Interview Process:

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on Phase II marks.
  • The interview carries 50 marks.
