The Reserve Bank of India invites applications for one position of Bank Medical Consultant (reserved for the Other Backward Class (OBC) category) on a contract basis, with fixed hourly remuneration, for the dispensary at the Reserve Bank of India, Shimla Regional Office.

Applicants must hold an MBBS degree in the allopathic system of medicine from a university recognized by the National Medical Council, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Registered Medical Practitioner.

Eligibility Criteria

MBBS degree from a recognized university by the Medical Council of India in the allopathic system of medicine.
Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic as a Registered Medical Practitioner.
Dispensary or residence should be within a 3-5 km radius of the Bank’s dispensary at the Reserve Bank of India, Main Market Kasumpti, Shimla-171009.

Pay Scale

The engagement contract will last for three years, with no renewal upon completion.
Remuneration for the Bank’s Medical Consultant will be fixed for the contract period based on actual duty hours performed, and will be all-inclusive:
Rs. 1,000 per hour for the entire three-year period.
Rs. 1,000 from the total monthly remuneration may be allocated as conveyance expenses.
Mobile charges will be reimbursed at Rs. 1,000 per month.

Selection Procedure

The Bank will conduct interviews for candidates, reserving the right to raise eligibility standards to limit the number of interviewees.
The Bank's decision on this matter is final; meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview.
No correspondence will be entertained with applicants who are not called for an interview.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo medical tests and document verification before engagement as Bank’s Medical Consultant.
Applicants will bear the cost of these medical tests, as the Bank will not provide reimbursement.

The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to 5:30 PM on September 26, 2024. Applications should be sent in a sealed cover to:
