TNPSC Group 2 Selection Process
The TNPSC Group 2 Exam selection process is thorough, consisting of three distinct stages to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of candidates' skills and abilities. The process begins with the Preliminary Exam, which is objective and serves as the initial screening phase.
Candidates who pass this stage move on to the Mains Exam, featuring descriptive questions that test their in-depth understanding of the subjects. Those who succeed in the Mains Exam are then invited for an interview, where their communication skills, subject knowledge, and overall suitability are assessed.
TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern
The TNPSC Group 2 exam has been updated with the addition of the Tamil Language Eligibility Test in the preliminary phase. Candidates now have the option to answer 100 multiple-choice questions on Tamil or choose the General English section instead, with questions based on SSLC standards.
The exam duration is 3 hours, and a minimum score of 90 marks is required to advance to the subsequent stages. The exam consists of a total of 200 questions worth 300 marks.
