Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification (as of 17-09-2024): Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognized university or institute.

Job Profile: The position is for an Apprentice role. Please note that this is not an employment opportunity nor is it a contract position. Apprentices will not be considered employees of Union Bank of India and will not be entitled to any employee benefits provided by the Bank.

Salary Details

Apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month for the duration of the one-year engagement period. No additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

Age Limit

The age limit for candidates is a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 28 years as of 01-Aug-2024. This means candidates must have been born between 02-Aug-1996 and 01-Aug-2004 (both dates inclusive) to be eligible. Age relaxation for categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD, in accordance with Government of India guidelines, is applicable.

Application Fee

Examination fees are structured as follows:

  • General / OBC: ₹800.00 + GST
  • All Females: ₹600.00 + GST
  • SC/ST: ₹600.00 + GST
  • PWBD: ₹400.00 + GST

Please be aware that the fee/intimation charges are non-refundable under any circumstances. Once paid, they cannot be carried forward or applied to any other examination or selection process.

Selection Procedure

Candidates applying for apprenticeship positions in the Bank, after paying the requisite online examination fee, will undergo the following selection process:

  • The online examination will consist of four sections:
  • General/Financial Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude
  • Computer Knowledge

Duration: 60 minutes

Knowledge and Test of Local Language:

Candidates applying for apprenticeship positions in a particular state must be proficient in one of the local languages of that state, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. This requirement is detailed in point "A." Selected candidates must submit their 10th/12th standard mark sheet or certificate to confirm their knowledge of the specified local language. If the certificate is not provided, a local language test will be conducted during the Personal Interaction and Document Verification stage.

Wait List:

A wait list of successful candidates will be maintained to address any issues related to non-acceptance or non-reporting from the First Merit List.

Medical Examination:

The engagement of selected apprentices is subject to presenting a certificate of medical fitness from a registered general physician with at least an MBBS qualification.

Last Date to Apply Online

  • For detailed information about the apprenticeship program, please visit the Union Bank of India’s website and the BFSI SSC’s website. Applicants must apply only for positions in their home state.
  • Each candidate is allowed to appear for the examination only once under this engagement project.
  • Ensure that you meet all eligibility criteria as of the eligibility date before applying.
  • Registration must be completed exclusively through the government apprenticeship portals, Apprenticeship India and NATS. Applications submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
  • Do not send hard copies of the application or supporting documents to this office. Any updates or changes to this notification will be posted solely on the Bank’s website.

Guidelines for filling application

  • Candidates must possess a valid email ID and mobile number that remains active until the results are declared to receive important updates and notifications via email or SMS.
  • All eligible candidates are required to register on both Government of India apprenticeship portals:
  • NAPS Portal: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (mandatory for all candidates).
  • NATS Portal: https://nats.education.gov.in (required only for those who graduated after April 1, 2020).
  • For any registration issues, candidates should refer to the help manuals available on the respective portals:
  • NAPS: "Candidate User Manual" in the "Get Started" section.
  • NATS: Student Manual.
  • Candidates should remember their login ID and password for both portals, as these will be needed throughout the Apprenticeship program.
  • To apply for the apprenticeship opportunity advertised by the Bank, candidates must:
  • For NAPS: Search for “Union Bank of India” under “Search by Establishment Name” at the NAPS Portal.
  • For NATS: View the advertisement for “Union Bank of India” after logging in to the NATS Portal.
  • It is essential for all applicants to note their Apprentice Registration Code (from NAPS) and Enrolment ID (from NATS), as these will be required for future correspondence.
  • Successful applicants will receive an email from BFSI SSC (naik.ashwini@bfsissc.com) requesting additional details about their district choice for training and instructions for online examination fee payment. Only respond to emails from the addresses specified in the notification.
  • Examination fees can be paid via debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI. Candidates are responsible for any transaction charges. An e-receipt will be sent to the registered email ID upon successful payment.
  • If the online transaction fails, candidates should follow the instructions in the email from BFSI SSC (naik.ashwini@bfsissc.com) and repeat the payment process until it is completed successfully.
