Disney Dreamlight Valley Walkthrough

Always Open Clothing Packs, Furniture Packs, and Recipes

As a beginner in the game, it's easy to overlook the importance of certain rewards that come in the form of little colored sacks or recipe books. These rewards can be obtained from chests, dig sites, or quests and provide new items of clothing, furniture, or cooking recipes. However, it's important to note that these rewards are not automatically redeemed and take up valuable space in your backpack.

Work on Upgrading Your Backpack Straight Away

When you first start playing the game, you'll notice that you have limited inventory slots and external storage options. This can make it challenging to decide which items to keep and which ones to get rid of. To avoid this problem, it's a good idea to invest your early game Star Coins into upgrading your Backpack space.

By upgrading your Backpack, you'll be able to hold onto all the valuable items you collect without having to constantly go back and forth to your home's storage containers. This includes any relevant Quest items that you'll need to keep track of as you progress through the game.

Talk to Everyone

When you first start the game, it's important to talk to all the characters you come across, even if you only have a few at the beginning. Look out for dialogue options with a speech bubble, as they often involve questions or statements.

As you engage in these conversations, you'll be given additional dialogue options that don't necessarily affect the outcome. However, each conversation you have with a character increases your Friendship Level with them. You can do this once per day, so make sure to check in with everyone regularly to keep building those relationships.

As your Friendship Level increases, you'll earn unique rewards and benefits that will help you progress through the game. So, take the time to talk to all the characters and build those relationships - it's worth it in the end

Hang Out With Friends Often

Once you've reached Friendship Level 2 with a character, you can assign them a specific role such as mining, harvesting, digging, or fishing. To take advantage of this, you should find that character and request to hang out whenever you plan to do that activity.

When you do this, the character will follow you, and participating in activities together will automatically increase your Friendship Level with them. Additionally, having a friend with you during these activities can also yield additional materials. There's no downside to hanging out with characters whenever possible, so take advantage of this feature to progress your gameplay and strengthen your relationships with other characters.

Check for Favorite Gifts

In the game, you can give any item in your inventory as a gift to characters. However, you may notice a small bar at the bottom of the gifting menu that displays specific items that a character would love to receive. If you give them one or more of these items, you'll receive a substantial boost to your Friendship Level.

These desired items change daily, so be sure to keep an eye out for them. You can also check each character's special item requests by going to the Characters tab in the Collection menu. By gifting these items, you can build your relationships with characters more quickly and earn unique rewards along the way.

Move and Remove Naturally

At the beginning of the game, you'll spend a lot of time cleaning up the village by removing Night Thorns, mining rocks, and completing other menial tasks. However, what you may not know is that you can also move trees, fences, and pre-existing structures around to your liking.

To do this, go to your Backpack and switch to the Furniture tab. Then, close the category menu and select the entities you want to move or remove. If you remove them, don't worry, as they'll still be available in your Furniture menu to be placed back down whenever you want. With this feature, you can customize your village to your liking and make it truly your own.

How to Replenish Stamina Quickly and Easily

In the game, your actions are limited by a Stamina system that determines how much you can do before becoming unable to continue. However, replenishing your Stamina is a simple and infinite process. While eating food can help you maintain your Stamina later on, you can fully refill it early on in the game by entering your home. No need to sit or lie down, just step into your house, and your Stamina bar will instantly refill. This saves you the frustration of running out of Stamina and also helps you conserve food resources.

Fast Travel is a Time-Saver

Once you cleanse the well in Peaceful Meadow, you can use it to travel instantly between the central well in the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. Although it may only save a few seconds, this feature can be extremely useful as you explore more areas further away in the game. It can also save time when using utility stations in your home or returning to certain characters' Realms without having to walk up to the Dream Castle. Additionally, it can be helpful when trying to track down a specific character as they roam around a certain area of the valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Guide

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life simulation adventure game where you tend to a magical valley populated by Disney and Pixar characters. In this guide, we'll go over the basics of the game to help you get started.

First, you'll need to create your own customizable human player character. You'll be living in Dreamlight Valley and helping the Disney and Pixar characters who have lost their memories of their lives in the valley due to a curse. As you explore the valley, you'll be able to gather resources and use your magic to clear away "Night Thorns", unwanted plants with dark magic that spawn throughout the valley.

To replenish your energy, you can cook food into various meals at a cooking station or craft materials and furniture at a crafting station. You can also move and rearrange furniture and buildings to your liking, and change your outfit and appearance at any time with the "Touch of Magic" option.

As you progress through the game, you can earn a currency called "Star Coins" by selling items to Goofy at various stalls throughout the valley. Star Coins can be spent on crops, seeds, materials, food, clothes, and furniture sold by various characters in the valley, including Scrooge McDuck, Remy, and Kristoff. You can also spend them on new buildings or building upgrades that provide additional benefits.

Interacting with and befriending the Disney and Pixar characters is a key part of the game. By having daily discussions, giving gifts, completing quests, and hanging out with them, you can build up a "friendship level" with each character. Raising a friendship level up to level ten will earn you rewards such as Star Coins, exclusive furniture and clothes, and exclusive motifs for "Touch of Magic", as well as increased resources from hanging out with them and new quests.

The game features nonlinear gameplay similar to Nintendo's Animal Crossing games, and the valley is synced to real-time based on the time set on your console or computer. This means that the game can be played at your own pace, and you can enjoy it for as long or as little as you like.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is currently available in early access for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with the macOS version released in early access alongside the game's second content update. While payment for a "Founder's Pack" or an Xbox Game Pass subscription is needed to play the game in early access, it will be fully released as a free-to-play game in 2023.
