Epic Games developed an online video game, Fortnite, which was released in 2017. Fortnite is available in three distinct game mode versions: Fortnite Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale, and Fortnite Creative. These three game modes use the same game engine and general play with similar graphics, mechanics, and art assets. Fortnite Save the World is a player-versus-player environment of a cooperative game where four players fight off zombie-like creatures and defend against objects with traps and fortifications. Fortnite Battle Royale is a player-versus-player game in which up to 100 players fight to stand till the end of the game. Fortnite Creative is a game mode where players can create games, race courses, platforming challenges, and battle arenas. Fortnite Battle Royale and Fortnite Creative game modes are free-to-play, while Fortnite Save the World is pay-to-play.
Fortnite Update V23.20 Patch Notes
Epic Games has announced what is in store in the latest 23.20 patch for battle royale shooter Fortnite, with the new update coming. One of the vital new acquisitions is that of the Falcon Scout. It's a robotic bird that can scout locations, pinging opponents on the map for your squad. It can also pick up receptacles and loot for you but of course, be cautious, as you will be vulnerable while handling it. Elsewhere other highlights contain five new reality augments to earn and the fact that hired NPCs can now ride as passengers in vehicles.
Added: The Falcon Scout
A majestic creature to help you achieve the noblest victory, the Falcon Scout item is at your service! Deploy your Falcon Scout and control where it flies, ping or location markers, and caw to make a radius in which all enemies will be marked for your squad. Use your Falcon Scout to open containers and pick up swag. Carry the loot to yourself or a teammate, and then scout for more!
New Reality Augments
- Peely's Plunder
Receive a treasure map that will lead you to buried treasure
- Shotgun Striker
Your Shotgun fire will give you Siphon upon hitting opponents.
- Rarity Check
Get Siphon upon elimination with Common and Uncommon weapons.
- Zero Chance
Temporarily gain the Zero Point dash ability each time you break an enemy's shield.
- Danger Hero
Briefly regenerate Health and gain movement speed when your Shield breaks.
Hired Characters hitch a ride
With v23.20, hired Characters can now ride vehicles as passengers! No longer leave Helsie hanging or dishonor Raptorian the Brave.
Dynamic 3D Resolution on PC (From the previous update)
In the v23.10 update, we added the Dynamic 3D Resolution setting to Fortnite on PC, available in the "Graphics Quality" section of the Video settings when your rendering mode is set to DirectX 12. Players on PC can ride on Dynamic 3D Resolution when their "Anti-Aliasing & Super Resolution" setting is set to one of the Temporal Super Resolution (TSR) options. Also, players need to run "Auto-Set Quality" at least once.
Dynamic 3D Resolution allows the game's Resolution to scale with performance, giving both smoother AND higher frame rates as the GPU load changes. Dynamic 3D Resolution is also obtainable in creator-made islands and Save the World.
Competitive Patch Notes
- The Rarity Check Reality Augment is not incorporated in competitive playlists.
Major Bug Fixes
- Fixed the issue that caused us to disable the Deku Smash in Battle Royale/Zero Build. The Deku Smash has been re-enabled in Battle Royale/Zero Build.
- Fixed issues related to mantling in which players would sometimes be flung across the map.
- Fixed an issue in which, in some instances, sprinting would be disabled for the duration of a match.
- Reality Augments can again be unlocked from teammates.
- Players can again damage objects with their Pickaxe consistently.
- Players are now able to select Reality Augments while on a Dirt Bike.
- Players can now use the Guardian Shield while on the back of an OG Bear pick-up truck or a Dirt Bike.
Fortnite Update V23.20 Dead Space Collaboration
Fortnite update V23.20 has been arriving for a long period. It is the second significant update in Chapter 4, Season 1. The rumored partnership with Dead Space has been verified. It will feature a decorative bundle including one outfit, two back accessories, a pickaxe, and one built-in emote. The 23.20 update will go live in Fortnite on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile. Unfortunately, this is a real-money bundle. Players will not be capable of purchasing it using V-Bucks. Nevertheless, there is a silver lining. After receiving the bundle, players can earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks by finishing quests. So, it's a win-win situation.
Fortnite V23.20 Updates
The Fortnite v23.20 update fetches the Shockwave Hammer, Falcon Scout, Guardian Shield, and Reboot Van from Fortnite Battle Royale! Fortnite v23.20 also obtains new visual variants for the Wildlife Spawner, an upgraded Ball Spawner device, custom post-game possibilities extended to all islands, plus updates and bug fixes for machines, islands, and tools.
