Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7, released in March 2022, is a racing simulation game created by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This game is the eighth major installment in the popular Gran Turismo series, which has been loved by gamers for many years.

It was initially revealed to the world on June 11, 2020, during the PlayStation 5 reveal event and is available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, marking the first time a Gran Turismo game has been released on multiple consoles. One exciting feature of Gran Turismo 7 is its support for virtual reality, which can be experienced with PlayStation VR2 through a free in-game update.

When it comes to reviews, Gran Turismo 7 has received positive feedback from game critics. They have particularly praised the game's stunning graphics and exciting gameplay. However, some players have expressed concerns about the game's use of microtransactions, where players can buy in-game items with real money, and the need for a lot of grinding to progress.

Additionally, there have been criticisms about the requirement for an internet connection to play the game due to always-online digital rights management (DRM). Despite these issues, Gran Turismo 7 remains a notable addition to the series, offering an immersive racing experience for fans of the genre.

Gran Turismo 7 Gameplay

Gran Turismo 7 offers a thrilling gameplay experience with a mix of familiar and new features. The game brings back the beloved single-player campaign known as GT Simulation Mode, where players can engage in various challenges and races. It also reintroduces traditional racing tracks and a wide variety of vehicles, along with Special Events, Championships, Driving School, Tuning Parts Shop, Used Cars dealership, and GT Auto.

Players must complete tasks at the GT Café to unlock multiplayer options, tracks, and cars. The game also brings back dynamic time and weather effects, enhancing the realism of the races. However, it's important to note that, similar to Gran Turismo Sport, an internet connection is required to save progress to prevent cheating. Arcade mode, on the other hand, can be played offline.

For those playing on the PlayStation 5, Gran Turismo 7 takes full advantage of the console's powerful hardware. It leverages features such as advanced haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, real-time ray tracing effects, 3D spatial audio, and faster loading times thanks to the custom solid-state drive.

The game runs smoothly at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, supporting high dynamic range for stunning visuals. Furthermore, the inclusion of AI opponents and License Test coaches from the Gran Turismo esports competition adds an exciting dimension to the gameplay. These enhancements make Gran Turismo 7 a truly immersive and impressive racing experience for players on the PlayStation 5.
