Diablo 3 Update 1.44 Patch Notes

The citizens were alarmed by the eerie scent emanating from the Altar and asked courageous Nephalem to help investigate this creepy finding that was forgotten by time—the Altar of Rites.

Attention Nephalem! We invite you to participate in the seven-day PTR (Public Test Realm) for the 2.7.5 update of Diablo III, which will begin on January 31st. We need your assistance in testing the Rites of Sanctuary seasonal theme, the Primordial Ashes feature, and the updates to Class Skills and items. It's important to familiarize yourself with the patch notes as there are significant new features to explore. In Season 28, also known as Rites of Sanctuary, players will venture deep into the Festering Woods ruins where citizens of New Tristram discover an eerie Altar with cryptic markings while on a hunting expedition. These citizens will seek the help of brave Nephalem to investigate the discovery that was long forgotten, and now players have the chance to interact with the Altar of Rites. This Altar contains powers that were thought to be extinct from Sanctuary, which can be bestowed upon the worthy Nephalem but only after making a sacrifice. The interaction with the Altar of Rites can be initiated at Level One.
