Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
In 2024, Square Enix unveiled Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, an action role-playing game that serves as a sequel to the highly lauded Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and the second entry in a planned trilogy revamping the beloved 1997 PlayStation classic, Final Fantasy VII. Embracing the successful formula of its predecessor, Rebirth seamlessly integrates real-time action with strategic and role-playing elements.
Set immediately following the events of Remake, the game places players in the shoes of mercenary Cloud Strife and a party of characters primarily representing the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE. Their mission takes them across the Planet as they strive to thwart the megacorporation Shinra's exploitation of the Lifestream, the Planet's life essence, as an energy source.
Additionally, they face the formidable former elite SOLDIER, Sephiroth, who seeks to unite with the Planet to attain greater power. With production commencing in November 2019 and the official announcement in June 2022, the game saw its release on the PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024, garnering critical acclaim upon its launch.

After the cutscenes, you'll briefly control Sephiroth in a one-sided fight against a monster. Following more cutscenes, you'll control Cloud as he explores Nibelheim. As you regain control of Cloud, follow Tifa and destroy any boxes you encounter for useful items. Engage in combat and learn the ropes of using abilities and magic. Continue following Tifa, fighting enemies and receiving various combat mechanics tutorials. Eventually, you'll encounter a large monster called Screamer, which you'll need to defeat before moving on.

Find Sephiroth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Gameplay
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second part of a set of three games that retell the story of the classic game from 1997. It continues the story from Final Fantasy VII Remake, starting with the group's escape from Midgar. In the game, players control Cloud Strife, who used to work for Shinra but now teams up with AVALANCHE to stop Shinra from using the planet's life energy. This also involves facing Sephiroth, a powerful SOLDIER who was thought to be gone. Similar to Remake, Rebirth gives a new version of the original game's story, with more details about the characters and an improved storyline.
The game lets players explore and fight in real time, with a more open world compared to the previous game. Markers on the screen show players where to go for main and side quests. The characters can travel faster by riding Chocobos. Rebirth also improves on the combat system, mixing action-focused fighting with the Active-Time Battle (ATB) system. Players can switch between characters during battles and use physical attacks, magic, and items.
There's also a "Synergized" feature that allows characters to coordinate their attacks, but it makes the ATB bars fill up more slowly. These changes make the game more exciting and strategic, giving players a deeper and more engaging experience.
