The HomePod Mini is one of the smart speakers this was developed by Apple Inc. and was released on November 16, 2020. With a diameter of roughly 10 cm, it was released as a smaller and less expensive version of Apple's HomePod.Homepod Mini is one the wireless and includes 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5. This is an ultra-wideband chip for device proximity and AirPlay handoff. Homepod Mini supports the Thread network protocol, by the Connected Home over IP working group. On October 18, 2021, Apple announced that the existing grey and white options would be joined by blue, orange, and yellow versions. The new colors have a tinted touch display that is a lighter hue than the body color, and the braided cable is also colored accordingly.

How To Enable The Temperature And Humidity Sensor On Homepod Mini?     

In January 2023, Apple released a HomePod 16.3 software update that adds humidity and temperature sensing to the second-generation ‌HomePod and all HomePod mini models.  In January 2023, Apple announced a second-generation full-size ‌HomePod featuring temperature and humidity sensors that can be used to measure the indoor climate, but it also released a software update that brought the same functionality to existing ‌HomePodmini models. 

In order to activate the sensor, you'll need to do two things: First, install HomePodOS 16.3 on your HomePod Mini. Second, you'll need to install iOS 16.3 and iPad 16.3 on any devices you want to see and use the readings on.

• Open the Home app on your ‌iPhone or iPad.
• Alternatively, tap the Climate button at the top of your home's main screen.
• Look for the temperature and humidity readings at the top of the screen. If you have multiple temperature sensors in the room, it will display an average of them.
• In the menu card that appears, you can change the name of the sensor, change which room it is linked to, check its status, and add automation. 

How To Update Homepod Mini?     

Like iOS devices, Macs, the Apple Watch, and the Apple TV, the HomePod and HomePod mini are updated with new software on a regular basis. By default, updates are installed on your ‌HomePod devices automatically, but there's also a way to force an update if new software is released. 26. 

Introduced in January 2023, the second-generation HomePod looks nearly identical to the first-generation HomePod, but it adds new temperature and humidity sensors, has a new internal setup and offers new smart home functionality. It is priced at $299, which is $200 more expensive than the HomePod mini.

•  You will need to open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
• Now go to the top right-hand corner and select the More button; this is a circle with three dots in the middle.
• Now select Home Settings from the menu, and you will be taken to the main settings menu in the Home app on your device.
• Scroll down to see "Software Update" and select "Software Update. Your Home app will check to see if there are any updates available.
• If there is an update available, select Install, and the latest software update will be installed on your HomePod and HomePod Mini. 

Homepod 16.3 Update    

Like many tvOS updates, this one primarily focuses on platform stability, bug fixes, and ecosystem improvements. What's interesting in this update is what's coming to the HomePod lineup. Apple also included several new features for the existing HomePod and HomePod mini. Notably, the HomePod mini will have dormant humidity and temperature sensors activated, enabling the data to show up in the Apple Home app. The tvOS update will be installed automatically, but it can be manually installed onto an Apple TV via the Settings app as well.

Updates to tvOS are typically incremental maintenance releases, adding support for products and services while also improving the user experience in small ways.

• Updated volume controls on HomePod give you more granular adjustments at lower volumes.
