Peloton Interactive, Inc. is a New York City-based company that provides exercise equipment and media services, including stationary bicycles, treadmills, and indoor rowers with touch screens connected to the internet. These screens stream both live and on-demand fitness classes through a subscription service. The equipment also has sensors that monitor metrics like power output, allowing users to receive real-time performance feedback and compete on leaderboards with other users. Peloton offers a monthly membership fee of $44 to access classes and additional equipment features, while users who only access content through the app or website can subscribe for $12.99 per month.

Recently, numerous Peloton users have reported issues with high fives during their workouts. Although they can send outgoing high fives, they do not receive any incoming high-fives and are unsure if their outgoing ones are being sent out. On August 16th, Peloton acknowledged the issue in an official incident report, stating that they were investigating problems with the leaderboard and high fives that were affecting some members. The issue was resolved the same day, but users have continued to report sporadic issues with high fives. Customers have contacted Peloton customer support about the problem, and some agents have reported back that it is a known issue and will be addressed in an upcoming software update for the tablet, which will fix the issue globally for all users without any steps required from customers. However, in the meantime, customer support agents are offering some troubleshooting steps to try to address the issue. If users are experiencing the issue, they should still report it to Peloton customer support so that the company can understand the extent of the issue and prioritize a fix

How to fix Peloton Profile not loading? 

Fix 1 - Unplug Peloton (Hard Reset)

• The first step to try and fix Peloton equipment is to power it all the way down and unplug it for a few minutes.
• Users can unplug the power cord from the back of the touchscreen or the power cord that comes into the Peloton from the wall.
• After leaving it unplugged for a few minutes, users should re-connect the power cord, turn everything back on, and see if the issue is resolved.

Fix 2 - Method 1 of Clearing Peloton Cache

• Users should tap the WiFi icon on the top right of their HD touchscreen and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
• From the new menu, select "Apps" and tap the "Peloton" app from the list of applications.
• Users should "Force Stop" the application, then select "Storage", then "Clear Cache".
• They should then power off their HD touchscreen by holding the power button at the top of the touchscreen, then power it back on.
• After the screen is powered back on, users should jump into a workout and see if they are getting any high fives back.
• If it's still not working, users should try unplugging their Peloton from power for a few minutes again and see if that fixes it.

Fix 3 - Check the Internet 

Peloton says that you need to have a speed of at least 10-15 mbps for downloads.

Note on Clearing Cache

• When clearing the cache, users should pick "Clear Cache" and NOT the "clear data" option.
• Neither of these steps should result in the loss of any data if the instructions are followed correctly.
• If users are unsure, they can always reach out to Peloton support to get directions from them.
