The Callisto Protocol
The Callisto Protocol is a 2022 survival horror action video play created by Striking Distance Studios and broadcast by Krafton. It was produced by Glen Schofield, who had earlier co-created the Dead Space series. The game's story pursues Jacob Lee (Josh Duhamel), dispatched to a prison facility set on the Jovian moon Callisto battling against infected prisoners with an unidentified disease while uncovering dark secrets of the facility. Gameplay has participants exploring a series of levels, garnering resources while battling off infected prisoners. The game's development started with the formation of Striking Distance Studios in June 2019. Initially developed as a game placed in the PUBG: Battlegrounds universe, it grew into an original intellectual property.

The Callisto Protocol Gets A 11GB Update On PC
Striking Distance Studios has just freed a new patch for The Callisto Protocol. This update is 11GB on PC and counts the highly anticipated New Game+ Mode. Unfortunately, the group has not revealed any changelog for this patch. We must also decide whether this update improves performance (especially when enabling its Ray Tracing impacts). Since we installed the game, we will test it with this new update shortly. There won't be any significant optimization modifications, but we will try to be optimistic here. The Callisto Protocol Gameplay
In The Callisto Protocol, players take the role of Jacob Lee from a third-person view. Jacob's fitness is indicated by an implant on the back of his neck named a "C.O.R.E. Device." Health can be filled with injectable packs discovered throughout levels. Jacob can utilize weapons to combat opponents and a melee system to avoid enemy attacks while looking for openings to hit and kill them. Both combat styles can be combined, providing excellent variety when facing enemy types. Jacob can gather and review audio logs during gameplay.
The Callisto Protocol Update 1.09 Patch Notes - FAQs
The Callisto Protocol has been denounced by many as a poor man's version of Dead Space, but that's only because it presented itself as its successor. First announced in late 2020, Striking Distance Studios' The Callisto Protocol was one of the most hotly-anticipated video games of 2022.
It's important to mention that Callisto Protocol is not a bad game. Far from it. It's a visual and audible feast for horror fans, has solid and gratifying combat, and is trying to place its unique identity onto the genre.
Even though it's certainly a technical showcase, The Callisto Protocol lacks the atmosphere and pacing that made Dead Space so outstanding, to begin with, resulting in a game that isn't scary at all but just a plain gross, gory show that has no punch to speak of.
So, despite some silly monetization, The Callisto Protocol should be a breath of fresh air. It's linear, not open-world.
