The Society
The Society is an American Netflix series produced and distributed by Netflix itself. It is a Mystery Teen Drama starring Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Sean Berdy, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo and was directed by Christopher Keyser.It was released on May 10, 2019. The story of the series follows a group of teenagers trying to form their own society to be alive when abruptly all the other people in the town disappear.
The teenagers must discover their own set of rules to survive with restricted resources. On July 9, 2019, the series was set to be renewed for a second season by Netflix, later which it was announced that the renewal has been reversed because production of the series was influenced by COVID-19.

In the end, the students decided to hold a vote to determine who would lead the new society. In a surprising twist, they chose to elect a former outcast named Allie as their new leader. Allie promised to create a fair and just society, but as she began her new role, she discovered that someone was attempting to undermine her authority. Lexie wins the support of those who are tired of Allie's rules and fears Allie that Lexie has no plan for running the town.
Sam reveals the truth about documents he found near the town hall. They urge Lexie to cooperate with them and become a co-mayor. Lexie and Harry say that they are taking power, postponing the council elections. The season ended on a cliffhanger, with the reveal that the student's parents are alive and searching for them, and the possibility that the student's parallel universe might not be as isolated as they had previously believed.

The Society Plot Summary
The plot of the series follows a group of teenagers from a wealthy New England town called West Ham. They return home from a school trip to find that all the adults and children have vanished, and they are trapped in a mysterious and isolated world with no way out. They have to figure out what happened and how to survive in this new society.
The teens initially believe that they have been pranked or that their families are playing a practical joke on them. However, they soon realize that this is not the case, and they must band together to figure out what happened and how to survive in this new world. Over the course, the teens try to create a new society, but conflicts arise over who should lead and how resources should be distributed. As tensions rise, they must confront issues such as power struggles, resource scarcity, medical crises, and moral dilemmas.
Allie takes charge and tries to establish order, but not everyone is happy with her leadership. Allie faces a mutiny, and the group must decide whether to stick with her or choose a new leader. As tensions reach a boiling point, the teens must confront the truth about what happened to their town and find a way to survive in the season finale, titled "How it Happens". The Society is a thrilling and suspenseful series that explores complex themes such as power, leadership, morality, and survival in a world without rules or authority.
