What Happened to Jeremy Kyle?
Jeremy Kyle is a well-known British television and radio presenter, who rose to fame as the host of the controversial daytime talk show, "The Jeremy Kyle Show," which aired on ITV from 2005 until its cancellation in 2019. The program focused on guests who would discuss their personal and often sensitive issues in front of a studio audience, with Kyle offering advice and sometimes confrontational opinions.
However, the show was embroiled in controversy after the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond, who died by suicide shortly after appearing on the program. Dymond was scheduled to take a lie detector test to prove his fidelity to his partner, but the episode was not broadcast.
Following Dymond's death, there was widespread criticism and scrutiny over the duty of care given to guests on reality television shows, and ITV eventually decided to permanently cancel "The Jeremy Kyle Show". Kyle himself faced criticism over the show's treatment of guests, particularly in relation to the use of lie detector tests. Since the cancellation of his show, Kyle has kept a relatively low profile, appearing only on some radio programs.
Where Jeremy Kyle is Now?
After a three-year hiatus, Jeremy Kyle has returned to our screens with his biggest interview yet. The talk show host sat down with Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence in a Florida jail after being found guilty of luring young women and girls to massage rooms where Jeffrey Epstein, a disgraced businessman, molested them.
Jeremy's new show is now on TalkTV, but a lot has changed since his former series was canceled amidst controversy and tragedy. The Jeremy Kyle Show, which dominated the ITV daytime schedule for 14 years, was taken off the air in May 2019 after the tragic death of guest Steve Dymond and was later permanently canceled.
