Who Is Pat Conway?

Pat Conway was an American actor. He was born on January 9, 1932, to Jack Conway and Virginia Bushman Conway in Los Angeles, California. His father is a director. Pat Conway grew up on a farm, 125-acre Pacific Palisades ranch, which belonged to his father. He learned to ride horses before he was 10 years old and learned to herd his father’s cattle.

Pat Conway went to Menlo Junior College in San Francisco and took acting classes at the Pasadena Playhouse after his graduation. In London, he learned acting at the  Shakespearean theatre in the famous Old Vic for six months. After serving in the U. S. Marine Corps, he went to Hollywood and got an acting contract with MGM.

In the early 1950s, he played in several movies and TV shows. He is best known for his role in the Tombstone Territory as Sheriff Clay Hollister. He died on 24th April 1981 in Santa Barbara County, California, because of renal failure, due to excessive alcohol usage.

They both studied in the Old Vic, and their daughter, Heather, said being in England was a very happy time in their marriage life. They got divorced in 1955. The reason for their divorce is not clearly known. Humphrey had said to her daughter that their marriage failed because of a conflict between her and Pat’s mother.

Pat Conway met actress Pam Duncan in 1957, who became her girlfriend. She had starred in the Tombstone Territory two times in a guest role. Their relationship has been off and on as Pam was seeing actor Cochran. Pat and Pam were together again in 1959.

Pat Conway was engaged to Nancy Sprigg Roe in 1963, and they were married on September 28, 1963. They married at Nancy’s mother’s house in San Antonio, Texas. They resided in North Hollywood, and their son was born in 1965.
