1) Charge Your Device

An iPhone running iOS 15.2 or later versions can send its location when it's in power reserve mode (when it has power but not enough to switch on). A completely dead device will be to send its location.

2) Check Your Apple ID

Make sure you use the correct Apple ID. It is not possible to use Find My with a different Apple ID than the device you locate. 

• On your phone, navigate to Settings [your name] and see the email address, below your name.
• This account is the one you must sign in to iCloud with to find your phone.

3) Ensure Find My Is ON

Your devices do not show up on Apple's map if the feature is not still active, so you must check that in Settings.

• For that, go to settings, choose your name, and then Find My. 
• Next, set the switches next to both "Find My iPhone" and "Find My Network" to ON.
• The former option helps you find the device online, and the latter option lets you find it even without an Internet connection or power, through Bluetooth.

Optionally, choose "Send My Location," which will upload your phone's location to Apple at the time the battery runs out.

4) Check Location Services 

You must choose to share your location with Apple for Find My iPhone. 

• First, open Settings, and then go to Privacy & Security.
• Next, choose Location Services and switch ON if it isn't already.

5) Check Network Status

An iPhone requires an internet or Bluetooth connection to send its location.

• So, go to Settings and then choose Bluetooth to check that it's switched on.
• Then, try opening a web page in Safari to check if the internet connection is active.

6) Set iPhone's Clock

An incorrect time or date might affect your phone's communication.

• So, go to Settings and then choose General.
• Next, select Date & Time, and then verify to see that the switch next to Set Automatically is on.

7) Update iOS

Features like "Find My" might not work if the phone's OS is out of date.

8) Restart Your iPhone

• After about 30 seconds, tap and hold the Side button and then release it when the Apple logo is shown. 

2) Refresh Your Internet Connection

In some cases, optimizing your iPhone’s internet connection will solve the issue.

• First, go to Settings and then choose Airplane Mode.
• Next, switch it off for a few seconds, and then switch it back on again.
• Now, you can toggle the Airplane mode icon from the Control Center to enable and disable the Airplane mode. 

3) Install The Latest iOS Update

• To get started, click Settings from the Home screen to open the Settings app.
• Next, on the Settings menu, click "General."
• Then, tap Software Update to proceed. Next, you will see the software update in more detail.
• If the latest iOS version is available, then tap Install Now or Download and Install.
• Finally, enter or type your device passcode when asked to continue, and then click Install Now to confirm.

4) Reset All Settings On Your iPhone

To reset all settings, you could use the below steps.

• First, navigate to your home screen and then open the Settings app.
• Next, scroll to and choose "General."
• Now, click Transfer or Reset iPhone to continue.
• Then click "Reset."
• Next, click "Reset all settings" from the given options.
• Now, enter your device passcode if asked.
• After that, click the option to confirm all system settings are reset on your iPhone.

5) Restore Factory Defaults

• First, navigate to your home screen and then open the Settings app.
• Next, scroll to and click "General."
• Now, click Transfer or Reset iPhone to continue.
• Next, select Reset, and then choose the Erase all content and settings option.
• If requested, confirm that you wish to erase your device.
• Finally, wait for the phone to finish resetting and then restore all default values and options.

Where Do I Find Do Not Disturb On My iPhone?

When the Do Not Disturb switch is turned on,  a crescent moon icon will appear in the status bar and on your lock screen.

To turn on Do Not Disturb, follow the below steps:

• First, go to Settings and then choose Focus.
• Next, click "Do Not Disturb."
• Under Turn on Automatically, set Do Not Disturb to switch on automatically at a particular time, location, or while using a certain app.

To switch on Do Not Disturb from the Control Center:

• First, open the Control Center on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
• Now, touch and hold Focus, then switch to Do Not Disturb.
