Playstation And PC Crossplay Games

Nowadays, cross-play games are a lot more popular than they ever were. Since a game that is compatible with both the PS4 and the PS5 might possibly be considered "cross-play," it is impossible to comprehensively cover every cross-play game. Even the valuable but incomplete list provided by Wikipedia has approximately 300 entries.

As a result, rather than simply listing every cross-play game, we've chosen a few that are noteworthy and added a longer selection below those. While many cross-play games are first-person shooters (understandably), we've chosen to focus on a variety of other genres, including board games, sims, RPGs, social deception games, and RPGs.

We've also chosen to define a cross-play game for the sake of this article as "any multiplayer game that allows players on at least three different systems to play together." These platforms could include iOS, Android, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series 5, or PC. Before you and your buddies head out to buy numerous copies, make sure to double-check the systems we list for each game that enable cross-play.

Top 10 Cross-Platform Games

1. Fortnite – Free

One of the top cross-platform games right now is Fortnite. The game's popularity was greatly influenced by the fact that it can be played on Android, PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and other platforms. When it comes to the best multiplayer shooters, Epic's battle royale juggernaut continues to reign supreme with over 350 million registered users worldwide. The game is more entertaining than it is realistic, and due of the frequent crossovers and events, it never gets old.

2. Halo Master Chief Collection

Only Xbox and PC support crossplay for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and despite the fact that it may not seem like it, the game offers gamers endless hours of entertainment. You get to play one of the most massive cross-platform games currently available, measured in numbers rather than platforms! Halo MCC made the list of the best cross-platform games because it enables Xbox players and PC users to play together in up to 8 group party matchmaking online! Halo MCC on the Xbox Series X|S achieves 120 frames per second and 4K with an 8-player party.

3. Dead by Daylight

Cross-play for Dead by Daylight is accessible on a sizable number of platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC. Imagine playing Phasmophobia while also playing a match of Among Us. Such a marriage yields Dead by Daylight. The recently popularised horror subgenre provides an incredible experience. There are never any boring moments in horror games, and the best ones will have you jumping out of your chair. Fortunately, Dead by Daylight fits into this category.

4. No Man’s Sky

Cross-play for No Man's Sky is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, providing players a tonne of options. One of the most intriguing ideas out there is explored in this game: space travel. Although you aren't yet able to do this in reality, the game gives you the opportunity to live out this fantasy online. This simulation succeeds with its gorgeous graphics and thorough world design. Of all the cross-platform games on my list, No Man's Sky has the most straightforward concept and is occasionally referred to as a sandbox game. Exploring planets and completing objectives on each one is all that's necessary.

5. Rocket League – Free

Cross-play support for Rocket League on Xbox One, Switch, PC, and PS4 expands the game's player base and adds to its appeal. This is also one of the best cross-platform games you can play with your friends because it supports four different platforms. This game's concept is simple: visualise soccer with rocket-powered cars in place of players.

6. Minecraft – Free

Minecraft, one of the most popular cross-platform games, is playable on a variety of platforms, making it incredibly accessible to gamers from all different backgrounds. Many gamers still consider Minecraft to be a household name and a classic, despite it not being accessible on several widely used platforms. Because you can build things, play with friends, and even fight zombies and other monsters while exploring the globe, it would be fun for every player.

7. ARK: Survival Evolved

Cross-play for Ark Survival Evolved is available on iOS and Android as well as Xbox and PC. You find yourself trapped on the shores of an unknown island in a setting full with enormous, primitive creatures. To live, you and your friends must take control of this ancient island. In Ark Survival Evolved, what you see is what you get. The principle of "survival of the fittest" applies. As with anything else, having a team on your side improves your chances of success.

8. Sea of Thieves

In comparison to the other games on this list, Sea of Thieves' support for crossplay on Xbox and PC is somewhat constrained. The game, though, makes up for it. You can live out your pirate fantasies by playing Sea of Thieves. Together with your friends, sail the globe and visit unexplored islands. Investigate mysteries, accumulate fortune, and intimidate people into giving you their gold.

9. Call of Duty: Warzone – Free

Cross-platform play is available in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as well, however Warzone has the advantage due to its larger player base and wider range of weapons. In reality, the latter has a few extra features and a variety of Cold War-era weapons. Creating an Activision account and sharing the ID with friends on other platforms is all that is necessary to engage in cross-platform play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. There aren't many better options available when it comes to cross-platform realistic FPS games.

10. Paladins – Free

The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC all provide Paladins for no cost. You can choose to play as either a magistrate or a paladin in this free online shooter, two competing parties. You must stay in constant communication with your teammates if you want to win a game. All of your preferred game kinds are available to you, including team deathmatch, ranking, assault (in which teams battle for points across a map), and the primary game type, siege. These excellent gaming choices and a special fusion of sci-fi and fantasy will satisfy more competitive players.

What Are Cross-Play Games?

Cross play games, for those who are new to our community, are games that can be played on several gaming platforms. Without any glitches or hardware problems, someone may be playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on their PS4 against someone else playing on their Xbox One. Since cross-play provides for greater adaptability and gameplay options, you'll find that more accessible games tend to lean in that direction. Cross-platform gaming is still in its infancy, and just a handful of well-known games support complete cross-play.
