Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a 2024 action role-playing game created and published by Square Enix, serving as a sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020) and the second installment of a trilogy revamping the 1997 PlayStation classic.
Continuing the style of its precursor, Rebirth blends real-time action with strategic and role-playing components. Following the events of Remake, players assume the role of mercenary Cloud Strife and the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE as they traverse the Planet to thwart Shinra's exploitation of the Lifestream and battle former SOLDIER Sephiroth's quest for ultimate power.
Announced in June 2022, Rebirth began production in November 2019, reuniting the previous game's lead staff albeit with changes in roles. Released on February 29, 2024, exclusively for the PlayStation 5, the game garnered critical acclaim upon its launch, affirming its position as a highly regarded addition to the Final Fantasy series.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Gameplay
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is part two of a trilogy that reimagines the classic 1997 PlayStation game. It picks up where Final Fantasy VII Remake left off, with the characters escaping from the city of Midgar. Players primarily follow the story of Cloud Strife, a former Shinra soldier turned eco-terrorist, who battles against Shinra's exploitation of the planet's life energy and faces the return of the formidable Sephiroth.
The game offers real-time exploration and combat, featuring a more expansive overworld compared to Remake. Objective markers guide players through main story quests and sidequests, including distances from the party in the overworld. Characters can travel on foot or ride Chocobos for faster movement.
Rebirth enhances the action-oriented combat system introduced in Remake, allowing players to freely switch between party members during battles. Characters utilize both physical attacks and magic, and can access items for various purposes from a menu. One notable addition is the "Synergized" mechanic, reintroduced from the DLC of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
This feature enables party members to coordinate attacks at the expense of slower ATB bar filling. Overall, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth expands on the original game's storyline and character development while introducing new gameplay elements to enhance the player experience.
