How to unlock Assassins Creed Mirage Blade in the Crowd?

Unlocking the "Blade in the Crowd" achievement is easier than you might think, especially when you follow these simple steps:

Choose Your Approach

There are two main ways to tackle this achievement:

Option 1: Blend with the Locals

  • Find a group of civilians in the game.
  • Position yourself within this group, and remain inconspicuous.
  • Wait for a guard to pass by and seize the opportunity to stealthily eliminate them.

Option 2: Employ a Merchant Group

  • Invest in a 'merchant group' to escort you through enemy territories.
  • These merchants will create a distraction and provide cover as you approach guards.
  • Use this cover to swiftly eliminate guards while they are unaware.

Maintain the White Halo

Crucial to your success is ensuring that the kills count toward your achievement progress. To do this, you must time your assassinations perfectly. When the "Assassinate" prompt appears, wait until you are close enough to the enemy to maintain the "white halo" during the animation. If you strike too early, Basim may step out of the crowd, and the kill won't count.

Location Matters

To achieve success, consider the location where you'll attempt this feat. The southeast corner of Abbasiyah offers an excellent spot to work on this achievement. You can begin your journey by seeking out Naaji, a fellow Hidden One, who is eager for your assistance in assassinating guards involved in bribery.

Persistence and Patience

Remember, this achievement may require multiple attempts. If you're stuck at a certain completion percentage, try using various techniques, such as saving and loading, advancing time in the game, or restarting your console. Different locations and merchant groups, like those in Jarjarya or Damascus Gate, may yield better results.

Hard Resets for Progress Issues

In case your progress seems to stall or glitch, consider performing a hard reset on your console. This action may resolve achievement counters that are not updating. Quick Resume can sometimes cause problems, so it's good practice to hard close your game and even restart your console to ensure smooth progress tracking.

Assassins Creed Mirage

Assassins Creed Mirage is a video game made by Ubisoft. It's part of the Assassins Creed series and came out on October 5, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will also be available on iPhone 15 Pro models in early 2024.

The game is set in 9th-century Baghdad during a time of chaos. It follows a character named Basim Ibn Ishaq, who started as a thief but later joined a group called the Assassin Brotherhood. They fight for peace and freedom, while their enemies, the Templar Order, want peace through control. This game is different from some recent ones in the series. It focuses more on a straightforward story and sneaky gameplay, compared to recent games that had more role-playing elements.

Assassins Creed Mirage Gameplay

Assassins Creed Mirage offers an action-packed and stealthy gaming experience. It's designed to remind players of the older Assassins Creed games, focusing more on a linear and story-driven approach and reducing complex role-playing elements. Key elements of gameplay include parkour, up-close combat, and sneaky tactics.

When it comes to missions involving assassinations, the game uses a "Black Box" design where players need to explore the environment to find creative ways to eliminate their targets. The game is mainly set in Baghdad, divided into different districts, and includes the famous Round City and the House of Wisdom. Unlike recent games in the series, Baghdad is smaller in size, more like the cities in earlier titles.

Players control the main character, Basim, who has a variety of weapons and tools, such as the Hidden Blade, smoke bombs, and poison darts. These can be upgraded through a skill tree. Basim also has an eagle companion named Enkidu for scouting, but beware, enemy archers can spot and attack Enkidu.

A new ability called "Assassin Focus" lets players take out multiple enemies at once, and it recharges when you perform stealthy assassinations. Additionally, there are poles in Baghdad to help you cross wide gaps, and the game's movements and animations have been improved for a smoother experience, drawing inspiration from various warrior styles like samurai and ninja.

Assassins Creed Mirage Plot

The story of Assassins Creed Mirage is set many years before the events of "Assassins Creed Valhalla" and follows Basim Ibn Ishaq, a young street thief in the city of Anbar. Basim is plagued by visions of a menacing jinni, which his friend Nehal helps him cope with.

Wanting to join the Hidden Ones, a secretive group fighting for justice, Basim tries to steal an important artifact from the Caliph's palace but is caught in a dangerous situation. Nehal ends up saving him, but they are forced to flee as the palace guards start hunting thieves.

Basim blames Nehal and leaves her behind. With the help of a Hidden One named Roshan, he escapes to their mountain fortress, Alamut, where he undergoes training and eventually becomes a Hidden One. Sent to Baghdad to investigate the Order's growing influence, Basim discovers that this secretive group is trying to uncover ancient artifacts. He embarks on a mission to stop them, encountering Nehal again and uncovering his true identity as Loki. The plot unfolds with Basim's quest for answers and his reunion with those connected to his past.
