The ending of "Assassin's Creed Mirage" reveals some important things. It's about Basim, whom we met in "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," and his journey back to 9th-century Baghdad. Basim wants to confront Al-Bahamut, the leader of the Order in Baghdad, to stop their evil plans. But it turns out that Qabiha, who used to be the Caliph's concubine and was killed by Nehal, has been searching for Basim too.
She knows he's connected to the Isu, an ancient civilization. Qabiha offers to tell Basim more about his true self, but before she can, she's killed by Roshan, a master assassin who warns Basim not to seek answers. Basim and Nehal go to Alamut and discover a secret chamber with Isu technology. Inside, Basim finds Nehal in a sarcophagus. It's a twist because Nehal is actually a part of Basim's mind, representing the memories of Loki, an Isu from Norse mythology.
In the chamber, Basim also sees holograms that show his past torment, with the jailor likely being Odin. This ties into the story from "Assassin's Creed Valhalla." Basim makes peace with his past, merging with Nehal, fully becoming Loki. His eagle, Enkidu, senses this change. In the end, Basim vows to take revenge on those who tortured him, hinting at his quest to find and confront Odin (Eivor) in "Assassin's Creed Valhalla."
