Atlas Fallen is an action role-playing video game developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. It was released on August 10, 2023, for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S. The game is being developed by Deck13 Interactive using their in-house engine called "Fledge". Unlike the studio's previous games, Lords of the Fallen and The Surge, Atlas Fallen is not a "Soulslike" game. Instead, it focuses on fast-paced and fluid combat, taking inspiration from games like God of War (2018) and the Horizon series. However, elements from The Surge games, such as a body targeting system, have also been incorporated into Atlas Fallen.
The game offers three difficulty modes, with a hard mode specifically designed for seasoned players of Soulslike games. Upon commencing the quest, access your map, and you'll notice a fresh marker situated on the opposite side of the southern ravine, to the south of Castrum VII. Locate the group of stranded villagers within a camp situated to the south of Castrum VII. Proceed to the designated map location by utilizing the bridge linked to the small piece of land northeast of the marked objective. Ensure you execute a double jump and dash to successfully traverse the second gap.
Upon reaching the camp where the stranded villagers are situated, search for an NPC named Wornblade. Engage in conversation with her, and she will inform you that repairing the bridge necessitates finding a carpenter by the name of Splinter. Unfortunately, Splinter departed from the camp in search of materials, obliging you to track her down. However, take solace in the fact that she is in close proximity to the camp. Simply access your map, revealing a fresh marker to the northwest.
As you journey towards the new location, you'll be able to identify Splinter near an illuminated section within the sand. Splinter awaits to the northwest of the camp. Approach the illuminated area and press the "Up" button on your DPad to unearth the buried materials. Splinter will express her fascination and willingness to assist you, yet she becomes abducted by a wraith. At this juncture, remain in close proximity to her, as a race must be completed.
The wraith you need to pursue follows a linear path heading south. Stay in close pursuit and glide across the dunes. Ultimately, it will halt and release Splinter atop a rock. As you approach, a cluster of wraiths will materialize, necessitating your intervention before ascending the hill where Splinter is located.
Following the chase, engage in conversation with Splinter atop the modest hill where the wraith left her. After conversing once more with Splinter, she imparts the revelation that constructing a new bridge is unnecessary, as an old bridge that collapsed long ago already exists. She proposes utilizing your gauntlet to restore it. Below is the guidance for locating and repairing the bridge.
How to Repair the Decayed Bridge?
As indicated in the map provided below, the deteriorated bridge lies to the northwest of the isolated camp where you are in search of Splinter. Refer to the map below to identify the position of the decayed bridge. To begin, make your way to the bridge to conduct an inspection. Merely step onto the southern side of the bridge and allow Nyaal to closely examine it. Following this, you will need to return to Splinter, who will have relocated to the small encampment you previously visited.
Convene with her there, and she proposes the idea that enhancing your gauntlet is necessary in order to manipulate a structure of this magnitude. Subsequently, the game directs you to momentarily shift your focus from the ongoing quest and dedicate your efforts to enhancing your gauntlet.
In simpler terms, your task involves advancing the "Reforging The Gauntlet" quest until you successfully retrieve the gauntlet piece within the ruins, followed by the collection of the three Unearth Shards. Upon obtaining these shards, proceed to upgrade your champion's gauntlet at any Anvil you have uncovered.
How to Elevate the Old Stone Bridge?
Having enhanced your gauntlet, the moment has arrived to elevate the Old Stone Bridge. However, before embarking to its designated location, it's important to note that this action will instigate a challenge akin to the one encountered during Watcher’s Fury. Given that the adversaries you're about to confront possess formidable strength, it's advisable to ensure your champion is adequately prepared.
Once fully prepared, return to the southern segment of the bridge. This time, descend to the area situated beneath the actual bridge. A sloping pathway will lead you to a wooden platform. From the indicated platform, activate the mechanism by pressing the "Up" button on your Dpad. This action will raise the old stone bridge, subsequently initiating the Watcher’s Fury challenge. Be sure to vanquish all Wraiths before journeying back to Old Seven in Castrum VII.
