Axiom Verge 2 Wiki

Axiom Verge 2 is an action-adventure video game developed by the American indie developer Thomas Happ Games. As a Metroidvania-style game, it follows the tradition of exploration-heavy action-adventure games, borrowing elements from classic games such as Metroid, Contra, Blaster Master, and Bionic Commando, among others. The game was released on August 11, 2021, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows, with the latter being exclusive to the Epic Games Store client. Later on, in August 2022, the game was also released on Steam and PlayStation 5.

The game features Indra Chaudhari, a mysterious billionaire, as the protagonist, and focuses on action and exploration, with many items, enemies, and power-ups to collect. Indra has various weapons and abilities, such as hacking enemies to alter their behaviors or using different "Arms" with various powers. The game is set in the world of Kiengir, which is split into two parallel dimensions known as the "Overworld" and "Breach," respectively. The Overworld appears largely natural and Earth-like, while the Breach appears more digital and artificial. Indra is required to move through the Breach to progress to equivalent locations in the Overworld, and vice versa. Overall, Axiom Verge 2 is a critically acclaimed game that offers a unique and engaging experience to players who enjoy exploration and action in a classic Metroidvania-style game.

Axiom Verge 2 Walkthrough

The Glacier

If you're looking for a comprehensive guide to Axiom Verge 2's first area, The Glacier, IGN has got you covered. In this section, we will guide you through the game's weapons, upgrades, and other features.

Starting Your Adventure

As you begin the game, you'll find yourself inside a helicopter with a helper named Stan. He will inform you that the area has lost power and you need to turn it back on. To begin, head left, and jump over the boxes to find a warehouse. Press "up" to enter the warehouse.

Acquiring Your First Weapon

Inside the warehouse, you'll need to make your way to the right to find the game's first weapon, the Ice Axe. Pick it up by pressing the "Y" button. Once you have it, exit the warehouse and use the axe to destroy the boxes around you. Although there is nothing of importance inside these boxes, destroying them will help clear your path forward.

Exploring Other Buildings

Now, head to the right of the helicopter to find another building. Break the boxes using your Ice Axe to enter the building. Inside, move to the right while breaking any boxes in your way, until you reach the end of the building. There, you'll find a door that leads you outside.

From there, head to the next building, which is almost identical to the one you just entered, and enter it using the Ice Axe. You can go left or right, but there's nothing important on the right. Go to the left and climb up all the stairs. At the top floor, you'll find the first Weekly Meeting Notes on the right. Break the boxes using your Ice Axe to pick up the document.

Conclusion

Following this guide will help you get through Axiom Verge 2's first area, The Glacier, with ease. By acquiring the Ice Axe and breaking any boxes in your way, you'll be able to explore the buildings and acquire the necessary upgrades to progress further in the game.

Mount Ebih

Mount Ebih is a major area in Axiom Verge 2, containing important weapons and items. This guide will take you through the area and help you collect all the valuable items.

Where to Go First

  • When you arrive at Mount Ebih, a new theme will play. Go down to the first building and get the "Dear Earnest" document inside. Boxes now drop health, so break them when needed. Exit the building and go left to the first shrine where archaeologist Malka will tell you about Site Manager Warren. After speaking with Malka, go to the tent on the left to get the "Companies Lays off Thousands, Turn Profit" document. Then go up the stairs to find the ansible that will direct you to sector 23,3, and pick up the "Rah" Arm before leaving.

Go to the Next Shrine

  • Leave the building and go left to find new platforms and a warehouse. Pick up the "Hammond Corp Posts Record Losses" document inside. Use the platforms to go up and ignore the red sphere. Continue to the left, passing waterfalls and new types of enemies. Climb the platforms on the left and destroy the basic drones before reaching the next shrine. To the left, you can pick up the "Heretic’s Tablet" document, but beware of the unique big robot sphere.

Find "Musshus" (Infection Ability)

  • Go back to the shrine and use the platforms in the middle to go up. Be careful of the mine drone and continue to the right. You'll reach some rock formations that you can climb up to. More waterfalls and drones will appear until you find a new urn with the "Mushhus" Arm. This allows you to infect enemies and certain objects to change their behavior or inflict damage. Jump over the platform in front of the tree and infect it. Move the infected object to the left to reach a device that gives you 300 nano points.

Find the First Boss Location

  • Activate the platform once more and return to the warehouse where you found the "Hammond Corp Posts Record Losses" document. Activate the sphere to enter the boss area.

Lake Amagi

Lake Amagi is one of the big areas in Axiom Verge 2, featuring essential weapons and items, such as the "Liru" skill and the Gud An-Na Arm. In this walkthrough, we will guide you through the area and help you collect all the valuable items.

Where to Head First

Head forward until you find a basic drone. Defeat it and get into the water, where you will find a new fish-like enemy called Ab_Illar. Ignore the first ones, but be cautious of the next new robot, Ab_Sur, which uses electricity but only at a short range. Use Gishru to defeat it.

After beating the enemy, take the right and go all the way down to find the first shrine in the area. Save your progress and continue to the right, where another new drone, Dur_Esla, will be waiting. This drone uses chains that instantly grab you, but it can be hit from around without receiving any damage. Continue to the right until you find a temple

.Beware because the temple is dark and packed with mines. The shining spikes on the mines will be visible from your position. Continue to the right until the floor breaks, and you fall to a lower location. Attack small, explosible enemies with Gishru while avoiding the Ab_Sur that awaits below.

btain the "Liru" Arm

Head as low as possible and then go to the right. You will find a new urn with the "Liru" Arm, which allows your character to jump and move more freely underwater. With Liru, you can climb the wall to the left and avoid the Ab_Sur below.

Encounter the Worm Enemies

Go to the left and you will encounter a new enemy, Gu_Ena_Hal, a worm that shoots lasers. It can be avoided by jumping over it, and Gishru works best to defeat them. Continue going to the left, and you will find two more worms. There will be a pink barrier below, but leave it for now. Beware of the Dur_Esla from below and avoid its chains. If you go up, you will find the “Urgent Message For The Royal Builder” document.

Defeat the Boss: Mus_A_M20 (Snake Boss)

To defeat Mus_A_M20, a cybernetic snake boss, climb all the way to the left and start descending. Go to the right and fall to the lower floor to find a new urn with the "Gud An-Na" ability. This ability allows you to perform a shockwave that can damage enemies and destroy some obstacles, creating new paths. Hold the R button to change your lantern, select the new ability, and use it on the cracked wall on the right. Jump in that direction and use it near the cracked floor.

You will return to the location where you first saw the boss. Start climbing and go back to the left, this time without falling to where the urn was. In this location, you will notice spikes at the top. To hurt Mus_A_M20, produce a shockwave near the spikes, and they will fall onto the snake. Use all five spikes to destroy the boss, and it will drop a small Apocalypse Flask when defeated. Use your new point to improve an ability or stat you want.

How to Access the Next Area: Giguna Steppes

To access the next area, head all the way to the right until you find a series of...

Mount Ebih

In Axiom Verge 2, Mount Ebih is the second major area that players will come across. To progress to the fourth big area, Giguna Steppes, players will need to visit Mount Ebih a second time. This guide will explain how to access Giguna Steppes.

 How to Access Giguna Steppes

To begin, players will see a pink barrier below, but they should leave it for now. On the left, there is a nano dispenser that will be needed to create a shockwave. Players should jump to the right, and then to the left, using their shockwave to make a block of cracked ground fall. They can then descend and start climbing on the left.

 Using the Pink Mechanism

Players should continue climbing up until they reach a pink mechanism on the right side of the screen. It cannot be infected while using the protagonist, but players can use Damu to approach the device. They should press X and get close to it, then activate the mechanism with Mushhus. Players can then return to Indra and proceed left.

 New Shrine and Giguna Steppes

Once players progress left, they will encounter a basic drone waiting for them. After destroying it, they will discover a new shrine. Players can then continue going all the way left to reach the new area, Giguna Steppes.

Giguna Steppes

Giguna Steppes is one of the biggest areas in Axiom Verge 2 and contains essential weapons and Arms that players need to progress through the game. In this section of IGN's walkthrough, we will guide you through the area and show you how to collect its valuable items.

First Dialogue with Kari

As you enter Giguna Steppes, head to the left to reach an open field covered in light green grass. Be careful of small enemies that are hidden in the grass. You will then encounter a new enemy, A_Il, which can be defeated quickly with charge attacks using the Ice Axe. After defeating A_Il, continue left until you find a new building where Kari is standing. Speak with her to learn more about the area's situation.

Finding the Area's Ansible

To progress through the area, head left to find the first shrine and document ("Antarctic Research Team Missing"). Save your progress and then enter the building on the right. Climb up the ladders to reach the top floor where you will find a new ansible and a document called "Letter From Trace". Interact with the computer to gain important information about Dr. Hammond and the location of the Kazakh Base in sector 24,22.

Meet Lamassu

Exit the building and climb the ladders to the left of the shrine. Go to the right and descend to find the Arm called "Ninhursag" in an urn. With this Arm, you can climb any vertical wall in the game, but be aware of the stamina bar, which depletes as you climb higher. Return to the shrine and head left to find the big robot sphere, Ud_Ur. Descend the stairs and platforms on the right until you find Lamassu. Have a dialogue with the statue to learn about its problems with the Arms. However, Lamassu won't take any action at this point in the game.

Uhrum Valley

Axiom Verge 2 is a popular video game that has many areas to explore. One of the significant areas is Uhrum Valley, which is the fifth area of the game. In this area, players can find important Arms such as Dun for fast travel and many documents. In this walkthrough, we will guide you through Uhrum Valley and help you collect all the valuable items.

Let's Get Fast Travel

When you first enter Uhrum Valley, you will notice a portal, but it will not work until you get a unique ability later in the game. You are currently playing as Damu, due to recent events. You will come across the first shrine of the area at the bottom. Save your progress and then head back to the "locked portal". You will find the first new enemy, a machine gun drone called Dubla. You can use Mushhus to turn any Dubla into your ally. It will cost 100 nano points. A few steps ahead, there will be another new drone called Ma, which is a catapult that throws a sphere. Attack it from a close range, and it will not be able to hit you. You will also see small spheres called Igi_Tum floating around. These enemies work as cameras for the catapults, allowing Ma to attack from long distances. Always break them when possible. You can blind any Igi_Tum using Infection, which will cost 100 nano points.

After destroying the enemies, start climbing on the first chunks of land you see. Keep going to the right until you find a Dablu below. Destroy it and break the box on the left. It's hiding a Health Node Fragment. Then, go back to where you were and continue going to the right. You will come across a small waterfall that has a new document, "Storm Bomb." Return to the tree, and if you look up, you will notice a big platform on the top side. Use the hook to reach it. You will find a new Arm known as Dun, which lets you fast travel to any shrine you have already visited. With this new ability, you can open the map menu, select a shrine (the blue glasses), and teleport yourself there by pressing X. You can use it as many times as you want, and it will be vital for collecting the remaining items in previous areas.

Finding the Area's Ansible

Next, go right until you can descend to some platforms with basic drones. This location is full of waterfalls, including their local robot. Reach the bottom floor, near the water, and go to the left. There will be a new shrine. After saving, return to the waterfall zone and jump into the water. Dive all the way down, avoid or destroy a worm and take the left way. You will find the document "Journal Entry - Suspension Bridge."

It's time to go all the way to the right, and you'll encounter some worms and mines in the way. When you reach a new screen, jump your way out of the water and reach a small waterfall using your hook. This is a secret passage. Enter by pressing the up directional button, and you will enter a short dark cave. Just go right, and you will find a small Apocalypse Flask.

Exit the dark location and return to the first section of this waterfall area, with the two basic drones and the other enemy. Start climbing and then go to the right. Use Eskiri when needed. Once you reach the top platforms (basically, where the waterfalls begin), go to the left. Beware of the long jumps needed, as you can't use the hook in every ledge. You'll enter a zone full of vegetation, and as soon as you

Emergence

This passage provides a guide for players in Axiom Verge 2's sixth area, The Emergence. The article focuses on two main topics: how to find the essential Arm "Imdug Bir" and how to exit The Emergence.

Meet Drushka:

To start, exit the elevator and move left to step out of the building, then continue moving forward until you meet the only shrine in the area. Save your progress and go left to find a tunnel. Proceed with caution as there will be a creature waiting for you. Take the tunnel to the right and meet Drushka, who will provide some helpful information about the area.

How to Find Imdug Bir (Charged Hook):

To find the essential Arm "Imdug Bir," descend the platform and go to the right until you see a huge drone. You don't have to fight it, just reach its tail and climb the platforms to the left. Find a tunnel at the top side of the screen and go through it to find a small Apocalypse Flask. Return to the previous room, take the tunnel above, and go left to find a new urn containing the Arm "Imdug Bir." The new Arm allows you to charge your slingshot and break heavy rocks.

The Emergence's Secret Passage:

Before exiting The Emergence, explore the secret passage by going to the right, climbing the platform, and using your shockwave ability to reveal a new path. Find a gold and pink device, activate it with your Mushhus radius, and use Ki'Inimak to reveal the hidden portal to Giguna Steppes (Breach).

How to Exit The Emergence:

To exit The Emergence, use the hook in the platform where the heavy rocks are blocking the way. Keep climbing up, breaking rocks, and using a new tunnel to find a medium Apocalypse Flask. Break the remaining rocks and return to Uhrum Valley by going to the warehouse again and using the elevator.

 Uhrum Valley

Finding the Breach in Uhrum Valley

To begin, exit the red and blue building and defeat the invisible creatures. Break the heavy rocks on the right side using your latest ability, and continue to the right to encounter two machine gun drones. Use Mushhus to turn one into an ally, and take the tunnel on the top to create a shortcut between this area and Lake Amagi. Return to the previous screen and go down to defeat a new enemy, the big yellow flower. Move left to find a path blocked by heavy rocks, which can be destroyed using Imdug Bir. Reach the faraway platform on the top side using your hook to obtain a small Apocalypse Flask. Finally, reach the portal on the left to enter the Breach zone of Uhrum Valley.

Exiting the Breach in Uhrum Valley

Upon entering the new zone, destroy the purple substance blocking the way with your basic attack. Proceed through the tunnel on the right, defeating a purple enemy and a gray object in the room, and continue your journey.

 Annuna Gorge

Annuna Gorge is the eighth area in Axiom Verge 2, and it requires players to revisit previous locations multiple times to acquire essential items. In this section of IGN's walkthrough, we'll guide you through the area and its multiple paths, including all its valuable collectibles.

How to Fight Amashilama (Your Original Body)

Upon entering Annuna Gorge, you'll encounter Amashilama, who will inform you about your daughter and initiate a battle. Here's how to defeat her:

  • Wait for her whip attack and jump to her back for free hits.
  • Stay far away when she throws projectiles.
  • Deal considerable damage until she "respawns" at the shrine.
  • Repeat the process until she creates a path on the right side of the screen and a dialogue with Damu takes place.

Where to Find Lamassu

After defeating Amashilama, save your progress and follow the new path.

  • Go upstairs and avoid the laser.
  • Pick up a Nano Lattice for a 15% damage reduction.
  • Beware of sniper and spider drones.
  • Use Mushhus to infect Sukud and make them allies.
  • Climb to the roof, then to the structure on the left.
  • Infect the pink device to lift the barrier.
  • Descend to the left and keep moving forward until you meet Lamassu.
  • Destroy one Siuna, on sector 38,16.
  • Coordinates 38,16 will be marked on your map.
  1. Find Lake Amagi (Breach)

  • After talking with Lamassu, keep going to the left and climb the wall.
  • Beware of an invisible bird.
  • There will be a biped drone and a glitched portal.
  • Collect the small Apocalypse Flask.
  • Use the pink device to open a shortcut between Uhrum Valley and Annuna Gorge.
  • Use the Arm Ki'Inimak to enter the portal using Damu.
  • This portal leads to Lake Amagi (Breach).

How to Get All the Items in Annuna Gorge

Annuna Gorge is the area players will visit the most to complete the story. Here's a list of items you might have missed even after multiple visits:

  • Breach Attractor
  • Arm Halam
  • Four Health Nodes
  • Four Data Nodes
  • Three Nanotech Nodes
  • One Extra Life Node
  • One Apocalypse Flask.

 Lake Amagi's Second visit

Exploring Lake Amagi's Breach to Find Arm Halam

Lake Amagi is the third area in Axiom Verge 2, and you'll revisit it while going through Annuna Gorge. In the Breach version of the area, you can find the Arm Halam. This section of the walkthrough will guide you through the process of finding it.

Finding Halam (Exit Breach Ability)

To find the Arm Halam, you need to enter the Breach and go left, climbing the platform on the left with bubbles that you can break with your razor. After going through the left tunnel, take the one above and start climbing on the left while avoiding shell creatures. Be mindful that the Breach is underwater, so your jumps will be higher.

Continuing to climb and go right, you'll encounter a pink creature that leaves smaller ones when hit. Beat them all, then descend and climb to the right, where you'll find a sky blue worm that throws three projectiles. A few steps further, you'll face a crab that can throw its tweezers, but you'll destroy parts of the creature before killing it entirely, and it will start losing its tweezers.

On the right side, climb the left platform and take the tunnel above, leading to a new room where you'll face two crabs at the same time. Go through the tunnel above and fight some fish, which can be attacked from below without taking damage. Jump to the right, and you'll find a new shrine.

Using the green objects on the left as platforms, climb to the top side of the room, then jump to the right, where there are many bubbles. Hit the ones above and wait a few seconds for them to regenerate, allowing you to reach the right side of the screen, where a medium Apocalypse Flask awaits.

Finally, go to the bottom floor and find the urn containing the Arm Halam. This grants you the ability to exit the Breach version

Glacier second visit

Axiom Verge 2 Walkthrough: Finding the Breach Attractor in The Glacier

The Glacier: A Key Area in Axiom Verge 2

In Axiom Verge 2, The Glacier is a significant area that players will visit twice. The first time is during their initial exploration, and the second time is when they pass through Annuna Gorge.

Locating the Breach Attractor in The Glacier

To find the Breach Attractor, players must climb up when entering The Glacier and use Mushhus in the pink device to open a new path. Then, they should follow the path and turn right using Barash to hover. They will come across a document called "Bounty List".

Finding the Breach Attractor

Once players have obtained the "Bounty List" document, they need to descend to the water level. They should look for crystals in the area, where they will find the Breach Attractor, a new piece of equipment. The device enables players to attract Breach portals near their location.

Using the Breach Attractor

Players should use the Breach Attractor near the portal artifact. When they do so, a portal will appear nearby. They can then enter the portal by using Damu and will return to Lake Amagi (Breach), but in a different location.

Annuna Gorge Second visit

Introduction

In Axiom Verge 2, Annuna Gorge is the eighth major area that you'll explore in the game. In this area, you'll come across valuable items like the An Gishru and Eye Ring when you visit it for the second time in its Breach version. This IGN guide will provide you with a walkthrough to navigate through the new locations in Annuna Gorge.

Exiting Annuna Gorge (Breach)

  • Start your journey by entering Annuna Gorge (Breach) through the top of an "altered" skyscraper. To exit, descend towards the left, avoiding the plants that throw a yellow substance. Use your hovering ability to avoid getting hit.
  • If the yellow substance touches you while hovering, it will interrupt your action and cause you to fall to the floor.
  • Once you reach the bottom floor, go towards the right and look for an exit portal. Use it to go back to regular Annuna Gorge.
  • Fight some basic drones, turn left, and go to a lower floor to the right. There, you'll find a portal container, but the portal is below the floor. Use your Breach Attractor to get it near you.
  • You'll be transported back to Annuna Gorge (Breach), but in another room with some bugs around. Jump over them and climb the platform on the left, then move in that direction, fight the plant below, and use the tunnel.
  • Two bugs will roll towards you as you descend from the tunnel. Jump to the right to avoid them.
  • Next, go to the lower floor, turn left, and avoid the sparks. There will be a portal artifact, but no portal at all. Use Halam to return to Annuna Gorge, falling into the water of a new location.
  • Go towards the right, taking care of the electric enemy. Climb to the left to get out of the water, and climb the wall where the sniper drone is, being careful of another one on the right.
  • To climb walls, use your humanoid form.
  • Jump into the water on the right, and you'll find a new shrine waiting for you. Return to the platform where you jumped (the one with the two trees), and use Damu to hover towards the right.
  • Jump to the smaller tree, and then descend to the right. Follow the new path, to the left and then right, and you'll encounter mines, electric drones, and worms in the way. Reach the wall on the right and then climb it.
  • From here, go to the lower floor, and you'll find a new weapon/piece of equipment, the An Gishru. This is a remote-controlled version of the original Gishru. To use it, select it by holding R, then press the right thumbstick. Throw it up and control it with the left thumbstick, aiming to hit the red sphere on the top-right side.
  • The An Gishru has a limited time while in the air. If it hits a wall, it will return to you automatically.
  • Climb up using the new open path on the right and jumping to the left. Keep going and you may recognize this area of Annuna Gorge. However, you can now create new paths with the recent acquisition.
  • Go up to where the Sukud and pink barriers are. Select An Gishru and throw it to the top, hitting the red sphere near the pink barrier you are standing by. You will notice a laser coming from the right; there is a Sukud

 The Filter

The Filter is the last and ninth new area in Axiom Verge 2, which does not have any items to collect but includes essential plot details. In this walkthrough, we will guide you through The Filter section to help you uncover all the necessary information.

Talk to Dr. Hammond

Once you enter The Filter, you will be inside a machine similar to the one in Annuna Gorge. Move towards the right, and climb up using the ladders. Afterward, go to the left, where you will find more ladders leading you to a massive machine that works as a communicator with Dr. Hammond.

Dr. Hammond's Message

Dr. Hammond will inform you that she, along with her workers and Samara, are safe but in an unknown location. Indra will talk with her daughter briefly, and then Dr. Hammond will continue speaking about Lamassu technology, her place about to be wiped out, and with no escape route available.

Hack the Communicator

After speaking with Dr. Hammond, she will ask you to hack the big device. Follow the dialogue and use Mushhus to override the communicator.

Return to Annuna Gorge

Dr. Hammond will notify you that they have evacuated everyone successfully to their new location. She will talk about the Arms being tools in an ancient war, the Siuna, and other details of the lore. Once done, head back to the left side, and a barrier will lift, allowing you to enter the "egg" machine from which you originally came and return to Annuna Gorge.

Annuna Gorge third visit

Finding Lamassu

Annuna Gorge is the eighth area in Axiom Verge 2, where players will need to find Lamassu. Upon entering the area, players should jump to the left to lift a barrier and find a small Apocalypse Flask. Climbing up and moving left, players will come across Sag_Gul_2, a new enemy that explodes upon close proximity. These enemies can be slowed or detonated using Mushhus. Moving to the right and facing spider drones and other spheres, players will find a Power Cell. Using Damu and its hook, players should climb to the left and defeat Zanzana.

Finding Amashilama

After defeating Zanzana, players should infect the pink device on the left using Mushhus to open the barrier below. This will reveal a path to an already visited shrine. Moving to the right and climbing up, players will come across a new document, "Beware The Pattermind." Jumping to the left, players will find a shrine to save progress before continuing. Players should avoid the portal and keep going until they can start climbing. Here, players will meet Lamassu again, who will inform them that Amashilama is on the other side of the barrier on the right. However, players will need a specific ability to cross the barrier.

Heading to The Glacier (Breach)

To progress further, players will need to climb the land above to find a new portal near a Kimu device. Entering the portal will take players to the Breach version of The Glacier.

Glacier Third visit

Introduction:

The Glacier is the first big area in Axiom Verge 2. In this section of IGN's walkthrough, we will guide you through the area, including fighting the boss Ellag and finding a way to encounter Amashilama.

Exploring The Glacier:

  • Inside the first room, use the tunnel above, on the right side. Start climbing on the left, and use the tunnel.
  • You will encounter a new enemy, Dar_Gesnu, and can turn it into an ally or synchronize its movements using Infection.
  • In the next room, you will find another new enemy, Seg_Dirig, and a new shrine will be in your way.
  • The area is freezing, but nothing will happen to your character. Use your hook on the left ledge and take the tunnel on the right side. Destroy the towers of enemies and find a new shrine in the way.
  • Go through the tunnel on the right, then start climbing and use another tunnel on the right. You will meet a new boss, called Ellag.

How to Defeat Ellag:

  • Ellag will first attack using a small drone near it, which throws lasers. Destroy this drone to remove the boss's shield.
  • After beating the drone, Ellag will start attacking using its big beam. Avoid getting hit and strike back anytime you can.
  • Ellag can also be slowed using Infection, but it's not recommended to use the sync option.
  • After defeating the boss, it will drop a medium Apocalypse Flask.

Finding an exit:

  • When Ellag is defeated, use the tunnel on the top-right side of the room.
  • Take the tunnel on the right, then the one below. Climb to the right, then hover to the left. Go left and find a tunnel on the floor.
  • You will find an exit portal that will lead you to a locked room in Annuna Gorge. Use the Breach Attractor over the portal artifact and enter the portal you pulled.

Conclusion:

By following this guide, you can successfully explore The Glacier (Breach) in Axiom Verge 2, defeat Ellag, and find an exit to continue your journey.

In the game Axiom Verge 2, Annuna Gorge is the eighth major area you will encounter. This area features a new ability called Tilhar, which you must acquire before returning to The Glacier one final time. This guide will assist you in finding the Arm Tilhar and completing this section of the game.

Annuna Gorge Fourth visit

Locating the Arm Tilhar

Upon exiting The Glacier (Breach), you will find yourself in a previously inaccessible room in Annuna Gorge. Here, you will meet Amashilama, who has taken on the form of the Lost Siuna's body. Amashilama will leave your body and search for the portal to A'Ansur. Approach your original body and speak with its consciousness, which will warn you to stop Amashilama. After a brief conversation with Damu, climb the platforms on the right side of the room using your remote-controlled drone and its hook.

Destroying the Barrier and Obtaining Tilhar

As you climb, you will encounter a wall blocking your path. Destroy it using basic attacks and proceed left. The urn containing Tilhar will be located to the left. This Arm allows you to transform into a cloud of nanites, allowing you to pass through certain surfaces.

Using Tilhar to Explore New Areas

After obtaining Tilhar, you can explore new rooms and locations. Return to the lower floor and go left to find the nano points device. Use Tilhar on the left wall to meet Lamassu, who will inform you of a bomb that can stop Amashilama's plan to destroy all universes. The bomb is located in sector 43,18, which will be marked on your map.

Heading Back to The Glacier

To complete this section of the game, you must return to The Glacier one final time. You can use your fast travel ability and select the first shrine to quickly reach your destination.

Glacier Fourth visit

Discovering the Broken Building

In The Glacier's first shrine, you can climb the wall on the right to find a Health Node. After that, head to the right until you see a broken building.

Finding Dr. Hammond

After reaching the broken building, go down to the lower floor and turn left, where you'll find a "Do not enter" sign. Then, proceed below the platforms and turn right towards the trees. This is where you first met Amishalama. Keep going in that direction until you find an ansible that was previously inaccessible. You will use it to speak with Dr. Hammond for the final time.

Discussing the Final Boss

During the conversation with Dr. Hammond, you will discuss Amashilama's plan and what you need to do next. This conversation will lead you to find the path to the final boss.

Annuna Gorge Final Boss

Area Introduction:

Annuna Gorge is the eighth major area in Axiom Verge 2, and you will visit it one final time to battle against Amashilama. In this section of IGN's walkthrough, we'll guide you on how to defeat the final boss.

Speak with Lamassu:

Upon entering Annuna Gorge, go left and speak with Lamassu, who will inform you about the bomb and a nearby portal to A'ansur. Continue to the left until you need to descend, but don't go to the bottom just yet as you'll find a breakable wall here. Keep moving to the right using Damu, and you'll come across a small Apocalypse Flask. You can then return to the previous room, finish descending the platforms, and go right to find a new shrine to save your game and continue on the path.

How to Activate the Bomb:

The new room in Annuna Gorge is large, and there will be a sphere with wires in the middle, which is the bomb you need to activate. Use the steel ladders and activate the devices with green liquid to charge the bomb with all four containers. After emptying the first container, Amashilama will enter the room and block the remaining three with creatures, marking the start of the final battle.

How to Defeat Amashilama (Final Boss):

Amashilama attacks using lasers and throwing spheres. The energy balls don't follow your movements, so jump or descend your platform to avoid them. The lasers change direction, but they are slow and give you time to run the other way. To defeat the boss, you need to detonate the bomb by going to every device with the liquid, destroying the small creature with a few hits, and activating the device with the interaction button. You don't need to attack Amashilama; your main objective is to complete the bomb charge.

Breaking Amashilama's Shield:

As you advance, Amashilama will block the devices with a pink shield. To break those shields, you need to attack her a couple of times. The number of hits depends on your upgrades and equipment. When she receives a significant amount of damage, she will be stunned for a few seconds and the devices will be free. Try to hit Amashilama near the machines to take advantage of her stun state, which lasts a few seconds before she blocks every device again.

Activating the Bomb:

After fully charging the bomb, Amashilama will lock you using her power. However, your original body will appear and grab her from behind, allowing you to hack the bomb and activate it. After activating it, you have one minute to run and escape from where you came from. You need to return to where the ansible is located to speak with Dr. Hammond.

Conclusion:

When you reach the place, the bomb will explode, and the screen will cut to black, displaying a message from Indra. The game will then show you the place after the explosion, and Indra will have a chat with Damu. The final scene of the game, before the credits, is an exchange with Drushka at The Emergence. After this, you will check your final stats and the credits will start rolling. If you load your saved game, you will be back to the shrine in this area, before the battle, where you can search for all the missing items.

Ending Revealed

Axiom Verge 2's Ending and Open Questions

Background on Amashilama and the Siuna

During the boss fight against Amashilama, the protagonist's original body awakens and assists in activating the bomb to defeat Amashilama. Lamassu reveals that the bomb under the A'ansur portal is the only way to eliminate Amashilama, who was controlling the body of the Lost Siuna. The Siuna were created for the Arms during an ancient war, rendering the Wielders obsolete. Some Arms, like Amashilama, became troublesome and were locked in urns and the factory was destroyed.

Open Questions

While the game's main plot is resolved by destroying Annuna Gorge and Amashilama, there are several open questions left unanswered. For example, it's unclear where Dr. Hammond, Samara, and the rest of Hammond Corp workers are after The Filter. Also, Indra's future remains uncertain, as she expresses a desire to find A'ansur, the "mother world," in hopes of rescuing her daughter. The game's final scene shows Indra speaking with Drushka, suggesting that a third title might continue this plotline.

Secret Ending

Axiom Verge 2 has a secret ending that can be unlocked by finishing the game with a certain requirement. This scene shows an emotional moment for the protagonist and is open to interpretation.

How to Access Axiom Verge 2 Secret Ending

To unlock the extra scene, players need to complete the game with at least 80% of the total items collected. The map exploration percentage doesn't count towards this. Players can check their progress by viewing the final stats screen after the credits or by checking their saved file in the "Load Game" menu.

If players have completed the game with a lower percentage, they can pick up the missing collectibles in "free-roam". After beating the game and loading the same file, they will respawn in the shrine before the final boss battle.

The Secret Ending Scene

After beating Amashilama and detonating the bomb, players will watch the same scenes as the regular ending, including a chat with Damu and Indra speaking with Drushka in The Emergence. However, when the credits start rolling, players need to pause the game. The screen will glitch, and it will show a short scene with what appears to be Samara (Indra's daughter) and Dr. Hammond in an open field.

Secret Ending Explained

The meaning of this scene is not entirely clear, and several questions remain unanswered, such as the whereabouts of the characters and what really happened to Samara. It could be interpreted as a metaphor for Indra's wish, as perhaps they all found the portal to A'ansur and are now living there. Another possibility is that the protagonist died, and this is her version of paradise. Nonetheless, the scene shows that Indra finally reunited with her daughter.

Axiom Verge 2 Gameplay

Axiom Verge 2 is a side-scrolling action-adventure game featuring Indra Chaudhari as the protagonist, who is a mysterious billionaire. The game's mechanics take inspiration from classic games such as Metroid, Contra, Blaster Master, and Bionic Commando. The game revolves around exploration and action, with numerous items, enemies, and power-ups. Indra acquires most of her power-ups in the form of "Arms," which grant various abilities. The enemies can be defeated using weapons like axes and boomerangs, or by hacking them to alter their behavior. The game includes Apocalypse Flasks that can upgrade Indra's attributes such as health and attack power. In contrast to typical Metroidvanias, most bosses are optional and can be skipped without any negative consequences.

Axiom Verge 2 Guide

The majority of the game takes place in Kiengir's world, which is divided into two parallel dimensions: the Overworld and the Breach. The Overworld is a vast, natural area resembling Earth, while the Breach has a digital look and can only be entered by Indra in the form of an artificial drone. Indra must frequently navigate between the Breach and the Overworld to reach their equivalent locations, making it an essential part of the gameplay.

Axiom Verge 2 Map

Axiom Verge Map:

The Map in Axiom Verge is a tile-based view of the explorable areas of Sudra. It is accessible through the game's start menu and fills in gradually as the player explores each tile of each room. The map is divided into sections, one for each area (Eribu, Absu, Zi, etc.) and color-coded to help distinguish unique rooms. Doors are shown as a white dividing border between rooms, and transitions between areas are shown with a white block arrow. There are icons in the upper-right corner of the screen to indicate progress in each area. A purple dot means the entire map has been revealed, while a yellow dot indicates that all the items in the area have been found.

Color-Coding:

The map colors are as follows: Pink for Normal Room, Light Blue for Save Room, Dark Blue for Rusalki Room, and Red for Boss Room. However, it is important to note that other maps found on the web may utilize differing color schemes.

Composite Maps:

SirTapTap has created composite maps of the entire game, which come in three varieties depending on the level of spoilers you want. They are: All rooms, no items; All rooms, all items shown with white dots; Full map, all items marked with descriptive icons.

Axiom Verge 2 Map:

Like the first game, the map in Axiom Verge 2 is color-coded by section, but not as drastically. The map has more topographical elements, and doors are not shown as white lines. Instead, the lack of a thick border indicates that the player can go through. There are no color differences for save points and character interactions, but breach entrances and save points are shown as items on the map.

Composite Maps:

Reddit user rkNoltem has put together itemless versions of the maps in Axiom Verge 2. The maps include: Full map, Overworld map, and Breach map.
