Baldur's Gate III is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. The full release on PC is scheduled for August 3, 2023, with the PlayStation 5 version following shortly after on September 6, 2023. An Xbox Series X/S port is also in development. Baldurs Gate 3 How to Free Shadowheart?
In the prologue, while attempting to escape the Nautiloid Ship, you will encounter various characters and creatures who seem to share your immediate desire to escape, if not your ultimate goal. Having assistance from these characters can make reaching the helm of the ship and escaping much easier.
Leaving potential allies in the grasp of mind flayers might not be the best way to build a positive relationship with them. This guide will explain how to free Shadowheart from the Mind Flayer Pod in Baldur's Gate 3.
After navigating through the Nautiloid ship, you'll encounter two encounters with Imps - the first shortly after meeting Lae'zel and the second after exiting to the exterior of the ship and going up some stairs. Next, head towards the northern end of the ship and then go east to reenter the interior. Break, shoot, smash, or blast your way through a Mucous Membrane barrier to reach a chamber where you'll find more Mind Flayer Pods.
Inside this chamber, there's a console housing three Sigils, but for now, ignore it and focus on checking out the pods located along the northern end of the room. One of these pods contains a rather noisy occupant.

In contrast to previous entries in the Baldur's Gate series, Baldur's Gate III features turn-based combat, similar to Larian Studios' earlier games Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II. However, this time, the combat system is based on the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules, adding depth and strategy to the gameplay.
