Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, the first-person shooter video game by Sledgehammer Games and Activision, was fully released on November 10, 2023. It marks the twentieth installment in the Call of Duty series and serves as the third chapter in the revamped Modern Warfare series. Following the events of 2022's Modern Warfare II, the game's storyline revolves around the multinational special operations unit Task Force 141 as they pursue the Russian ultranationalist and terrorist Vladimir Makarov, who plans to instigate a third World War.
The game, available on platforms such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, maintains the realistic, modern setting of its predecessors. In addition to its engaging single-player campaign, Modern Warfare III introduces a multiplayer mode with remastered maps from the 2009 release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and includes a Zombies mode, a first for the Modern Warfare series.
Sledgehammer Games initially set out to develop an expansion pack for Modern Warfare II but, as the project progressed, Activision decided to turn it into a standalone entry in the Call of Duty franchise. Leveraging the 9.0 version of the IW engine, Sledgehammer Games crafted the game's mechanics and graphics.
Notably, Treyarch, renowned for the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, collaborated in developing the Zombies mode. Following leaks in early to mid 2023, the game was officially unveiled in August 2023, with a showcase event and a public beta occurring in October. While some platforms categorize it as a DLC expansion of Modern Warfare II, it doesn't feature a Platinum Trophy on PlayStation 5.
Best MW3 ISO 45 Loadout and Class Setup
In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the ISO 45 serves as a variant of the ISO 9mm and Hemlock, making a return to the game after proving its worth in previous iterations of the franchise. Despite facing tough competition from newer submachine guns, the ISO 45 remains a dependable choice for swiftly mowing down adversaries in close-range combat scenarios.
Best ISO 45 loadout
The ISO 45 tends to bounce a lot when you shoot it. To fix this problem, using these five attachments will help make the gun more stable when you shoot and improve how accurate you are when firing from the hip.
Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
The Bruen Pendulum significantly improves both horizontal and vertical recoil control of the ISO 45. Additionally, it enhances accuracy and handling, addressing the SMG's shortcomings compared to other weapons in its category.
Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
The Edge-47 Grip stabilizes recoil during sustained fire, albeit at the cost of a slightly reduced aim down sights (ADS) speed. It offers boosts in aiming idle sway and recoil control, contributing to a more controlled firing experience.
Rear Grip: A30 Stout
The A30 Stout rear grip aids in creating a steadier and more accurate SMG. It boosts gun kick and recoil control while minimally affecting aiming idle sway, contributing to overall improved performance.
Laser: Stovl Tac Laser
The Stovl Tac Laser enhances hip-fire spread, accuracy, recoil control, and Tac Stance spread. It proves beneficial for aggressive gameplay, improving the SMG's performance in close-range engagements.
Magazine: 45 Round Drum
Addressing the high fire rate of the ISO 45, the 45 Round Drum magazine provides ample ammunition capacity. With only 30 default shots, this attachment ensures sustained firepower during extended engagements.
Secondary Weapon Options
ISO Hemlock
The ISO Hemlock, while nerfed since previous MW editions, offers mid-range coverage to complement the ISO 45's close-range specialization. It remains a decent choice for players preferring a familiar playstyle.
MCW
The MCW stands out as a top-tier Assault Rifle to pair with the ISO 45. Its well-rounded attributes in damage, range, and accuracy make it a reliable choice to balance the limitations of the ISO 45.
Perks and Equipment Setup
Gunner Vest
The Gunner Vest permits the use of two primary weapons, sacrificing the Boots slot but significantly enhancing versatility and firepower.
Quick-Grip Gloves
Quick-Grip Gloves increase weapon swap speed, facilitating swift transitions between the ISO 45 and the selected secondary firearm.
Bone Conduction Headset
This gear cancels distracting combat noise and amplifies footsteps, aiding in enemy detection and situational awareness.
Tactical and Lethal Equipment
The Flash Grenade disorients opponents, while the Semtex offers damage potential, providing a strategic advantage in engagements.
Smoke Airdrop
The Smoke Airdrop allows repositioning and strategic movement, facilitating closer engagements before engaging opponents.
Alternative ISO 45 Choices
ISO 9mm
For a more aggressive playstyle, the ISO 9mm offers additional advantages and serves as a compelling alternative within the SMG category.
Striker
Despite minor nerfs, the Striker remains one of the best SMGs, excelling in damage output, range, and combat mobility on the battlefield.
ISO 45 in MW3
The ISO 45 in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) used to be a pretty good SMG, but it's not as popular anymore. Also, a new gun called the ISO 9mm came out, and a lot of players prefer that one over the ISO 45. Even though it's not as popular, the ISO 45 still has some good things about it. It shoots pretty fast, which can be helpful in the game. If you already unlocked it in Modern Warfare 2, it might still be worth using in MW3.
If you want to make the most out of the ISO 45, you can try adding certain attachments to it. These attachments can help make the gun better and more effective in battles. With the right attachments and a bit of effort, you might be able to bring out its full potential. If you like its fast shooting and already have it unlocked, you might find ways to make it work well for you in MW3.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Plot
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's campaign story takes place after the events of Modern Warfare II. It features fictional locations like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main villain is Ultranationalist terrorist Vladimir Makarov. Task Force 141, led by characters like Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, are the main heroes. Players will also take on roles in Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.
The Zombies story happened in Urzikstan in 2021, after the events of Modern Warfare (2019) and almost 40 years after Black Ops Cold War. It includes characters like Victor Zakhaev, a Russian arms dealer, and Sergei Ravenov, a former Spetsnaz captain with experience in dealing with zombies. New characters are introduced too, like Jack Fletcher from the private military company Terminus Outcomes, and Selma Greene, who leads Operation Deadbolt, a CIA plan formed after the Cold War outbreak.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay
Modern Warfare III will play a lot like its predecessor and other Call of Duty games. It brings back features like slide canceling. The campaign offers both linear missions and 'Open Combat Missions,' giving players more freedom in how they tackle objectives. In multiplayer, there will be all sixteen maps from Modern Warfare 2 at launch.
Players can vote for maps in lobbies, and there will be a bit more health for a longer time to kill. The 'red dot' minimap is back, allowing players to spot enemies on their radar when they shoot without a suppressor. Classic modes like 'Kill Confirmed' and 'Hardpoint' are returning, along with a new mode called 'Cutthroat.' Ground War and War mode are making a comeback too.
The game will also have a new open-world PvE Zombies mode. Developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, it's different from the old round-based survival style. Up to 24 players will team up on a big map called Urzikstan. They'll face off against zombies and AI-controlled enemies, completing objectives, collecting loot, and extracting items.
Instead of rounds, the map is divided into 'zones' with varying difficulty levels. After 45 minutes, an 'Aether Storm' starts, giving players 15 minutes to get out with their loot. This can be carried into the next match. It includes familiar elements like weapon purchases, special drinks, and mystery boxes. Story quests will also be part of the mode, advancing the narrative.
