Blue Archive is a famous role-playing game developed by Nexon Games, a subsidiary of Nexon, formerly known as NAT Games. Initially released in 2021 for Android and iOS, the game was first launched in Japan by Yostar and later made available worldwide by Nexon. Blue Archive follows a free-to-play model with gacha mechanics, allowing players to acquire new characters. A forthcoming anime television series adaptation titled Blue Archive The Animation has also been announced.
In the game, players assume the role of a teacher who has been summoned to Kivotos, the academy city, by the president of the General Student Council—an extrajudicial committee responsible for overseeing the schools. However, after the sudden disappearance of the council president, criminal activities start to escalate in Kivotos. The remaining council members entrust the player with the task of resolving these issues and assisting in the search for the missing president.
