Cage the Elephant
Cage the Elephant is a rock band from the USA that started in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They moved to London in 2008 and released their first album, named after the band. The members include Matt Shultz, who sings, Brad Shultz plays rhythm guitar, Nick Bockrath is on lead guitar, Matthan Minster plays guitar and keyboards, Daniel Tichenor is on bass, and Jared Champion plays drums.
Their first album was a hit, with lots of songs on the radio, making them popular in the USA and UK. Their music blends classic rock, '90s alternative, blues, punk rock, and funk. Lincoln Parish was their lead guitarist until 2013 when he left to focus on producing music.
Their second album, "Thank You, Happy Birthday," came out in 2011, drawing inspiration from punk rock, Pixies, and Nirvana. The third album, "Melophobia," in 2013, showed their desire to create a unique sound. In 2015, they released "Tell Me I'm Pretty," produced by Dan Auerbach. They also released a live album called "Unpeeled" in 2017. Their fifth album, "Social Cues," came out in 2019. They won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album twice, in 2017 and 2020.
