Call of Duty: Modern Zombies
Call of Duty: World at War – Zombies, also referred to as Call of Duty: Zombies, emerged as a first-person shooter video game crafted by Ideaworks Game Studio and published by Activision for iOS. Serving as a spin-off within the Call of Duty franchise, it drew its inspiration from the Zombies mode featured in Call of Duty: World at War.
The game had a global release for iPhone on November 16, 2009, followed by its availability for iPad on April 1, 2010.[3] Players were able to engage in multiplayer cooperative gameplay either locally through an ad hoc Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network or globally via the internet. Additionally, the game included three other maps: Verrückt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese. Activision subsequently released a sequel to this game titled Call of Duty: Black Ops – Zombies.
Call of Duty Zombies Equipment Tier List
S-Tier
In exploring the formidable arsenal of Call of Duty Zombies, the top-tier S-Class equipment stands out as a powerhouse. Lil’ Arnies and Homunculuses not only lure in the undead but obliterate them with devastating efficiency. The Hacker proves to be a savvy financial ally, enabling cautious players to amass substantial wealth, while the Time Bomb grants the luxury of doubling up on perks and revisiting earlier stages of the game.
The Aether Blade and Hell’s Retriever, lethal throwable weapons that return to the player, complement defensive tools like the Guard of Fafnir and offensive wonders like the Skull of Nan-Sapwe, ensuring formidable protection and significant damage output.

A-Tier
In the A-Tier category, the game's top regular equipment items shine. Wraith Fire, a lethal option, stands out for its ability to swiftly eliminate entire zombie hordes with a relatively quick recharge time. Decoy Grenades, the tactical choice, serve as easily replenished Monkey Bombs without the explosive aftermath, allowing for faster deployment.
While Monkey Bombs are effective, their delayed activation places them below Arnies and Homunculuses. Sekhmet’s Vigor, akin to a revive stick, proves potent despite occasional inaccuracies. The Pegasus Strike, although enjoyable and powerful, faces limitations with a restricted usage frequency. Gauntlet of Siegfried, while formidable, poses risks in high rounds due to its punch, despite the utility of the whelp's flames.

B-Tier
B-Tier in Call of Duty Zombies offers a range of moderate options. Molotovs, although effective, pale compared to Wraith Fires. Mines and explosive devices like Betties and Claymores are reliable but not the most potent. C4's controlled detonation is an advantage, yet limited blast radius hinders impact.
Throwing Knives deal substantial mini-boss damage, and the Rocket Shield's special ability, while protective, can lead to player downs. Annihilator's one-hit kill diminishes too soon, and Gas Grenades' impact is reduced. Stims, slowed in Modern Warfare Zombies, carry increased risk, and QED's unpredictable effects make it less reliable.

C-Tier
While no Call of Duty Zombies equipment is truly awful, caution is advised. EMP Grenades, notorious for trolling or complicating gameplay, risk unintended consequences like closing the Mystery Box. Sticky Acid Bombs and Semtex grenades can lead to perilous situations with stuck zombies causing splash damage.
Drill Charges lack utility beyond handling shielded enemies in Modern Warfare Zombies. Thermite, Shock Sticks, Scatter Mines, Snapshot Grenades, and Smoke Grenades have superior alternatives, like Molotovs, Stun Grenades, Shatter Blast, Death Perception, and Aether Shroud.

Call of Duty: Modern Zombies Gameplay
The game's primary goal is to survive successive waves of invading zombies, each round increasing in difficulty. Players commence with a Colt 1911, equipped with a combat knife for melee attacks, and a maximum of 4 hand grenades. Throughout the gameplay, defeating zombies earns players points used to purchase weapons, perks, and access various map areas. Specific waves introduce diverse zombie types, such as zombie hell hounds.
Zombies breach barricaded entries from outside the playable map. As rounds advance, zombies become more adept at dismantling barricades swiftly. Players earn points for killing zombies and restoring barricades.
Diverse perks purchasable with points grant players enhanced abilities. Additionally, sporadic power-up drops left by defeated zombies further assist players during gameplay.
Certain maps feature 'Easter Eggs' that players can uncover, enabling them to trigger music, gain rewards, or delve deeper into the series' enigmatic lore.
