Crisis at Hyrule Castle Walkthrough

Part 1: The Second Gatehouse

  1. Approach the southern tip of the floating castle where you'll find a large tower structure with a small drawbridge.
  2. Enter the gatehouse and locate Zelda inside. She will disappear, and a group of enemies, including a Boss Bokoblin and regular Bokoblins, will appear.
  3. Use a Muddle Bud to distract the Boss Bokoblin and eliminate the Bokoblin with the Yellow Chuchu Jelly quickly.
  4. Utilize electric jelly and fire elemental materials to disarm the Bokoblin army. Deal with the smaller enemies first before focusing on the boss.
  5. If needed, you can find a Knight's Broadsword by one of the gates and a Royal Halberd in a chest on the opposite side.

Part 2: Journey to the Library

  1. Consult the map and head to the upper northeast corner of floor B3, which corresponds to the old Library.
  2. Instead of taking the corridor below the gatehouse, ascend to the roof above and head east, then north to a rampart wall with a chest containing a Royal Shield.
  3. Spot the Blue Lizalfos patrolling the main pathway and snipe them individually.
  4. Glide over to a balcony overlooking the lower path to the northeast, bypassing the Moblins. Drop down into the Library.

Part 3: Confronting the Black Hinox

  1. Inside the Library, a Black Hinox will spawn, accompanied by three elemental Giant Chuchus.
  2. Sprint away from the Hinox and detonate the elemental Chuchus near it to cause damage. Aim for the Hinox's eye when it's stunned.
  3. Beware of the Hinox digging into the ground and throwing explosive barrels. Recall these barrels to deal additional damage.
  4. Focus on aimed shots at the Hinox's eye and attack its left foot. Avoid its headbutts by running through its legs.
  5. Once defeated, collect the dropped weapons, including a Knight's Bow, Royal Guard's Shield, and Knight's Claymore.

Part 4: Secrets in the Library

  1. Look for a fake bookcase along the west wall. Use the Ultrahand to reveal a small stone room with a Knight's Claymore and a chest containing a Shard of Dinraal's Spike.
  2. Another fake bookcase below the stairs at the north end of the Library leads to the King's Study. Inside, you'll find a Royal Broadsword and a chest with the Royal Guard Boots.

Part 5: Chasing Zelda

  1. Zelda will ping you from the stairs leading out of the Library to the north. Follow her into the narrow staircase leading to level B2.
  2. Prepare for another horde of enemies, including Gibdos and a Gibdo Moth. Use Electric Chuchu Jelly-fused arrows or the dragon shard to stun and weaken them, then defeat them quickly.

Part 6: Princess Zelda's Room

  • After exiting onto the outer walkway, consult the map to locate Princess Zelda's room in her tower on the west edge of the map.
  • Before proceeding, check the hill above the Library exit to find the Serutabomac Shrine, which provides easy access to leave and revisit the castle.
  • Traverse the long path leading to Zelda's tower room, being cautious of the Black Horriblins lurking in the narrow tunnel.
  • Deal with the Black Horriblins using ranged elemental attacks to weaken them. Ice or electric elemental materials with a small radius of effect can stun and incapacitate groups of enemies.
  • Proceed past the Horriblins and ignore the path with an Ice-Like for now. Instead, climb the ramparts to the right, where you'll encounter a Lizalfos and Moblin combo guarding the stairs leading to Princess Zelda's tower.
  • Take out the Lizalfos swiftly with ranged attacks and defeat the Moblin using a strong two-handed blow, sending it over the cliff.
  • Deal with one more Lizalfos at the top of the stairs and ascend the tower using the Ascend ability to reach Princess Zelda's Room.
  • When Zelda disappears, three Fire Lizalfos will appear. Quickly backpedal to create distance and use ice-infused arrows to extinguish the fire enemies instantly.
  • Before leaving the room, search above the fireplace for a Royal Guard's Bow, check the collapsed corridor for a Royal Guard's Claymore, and locate a chest behind a small screen in the corner of the room containing the Royal Guard Cap Armor.
  • Optionally, exit the room and Ascend to the area above to find a walkway leading to Princess Zelda's Study. Cross the crumbling bridge using Recall, and there you can find a Silent Princess flower, another Royal Guard Bow, and a chest with a Royal Guard's Sword.

Part 7: To the Lower Halls

  1. Consult the map to find your next destination, the lower halls below Princess Zelda's tower on floor B3. The entrance is located along the cliffs beneath the tower.
  2. Paraglide down and be cautious of the lone Moblin guarding the entrance down a flight of stairs, as it can deal significant damage.
  3. Enter the room and prepare for a surprise encounter. Initially, it may seem like only a few Ice Keese is present, but beware of the Silver Moblin that appears behind you. It can inflict massive damage with a single hit.
  4. Focus on defeating the Ice Keese while using their parts to freeze the Moblin or force it to drop its powerful weapon. Keep the Moblin stunned or off-balance to maintain the upper hand in the battle.
  5. Explore the pit below the room to find additional Royal Guard Weapons and a collapsed tunnel.
  6. Zelda will appear in a long corridor nearby but inaccessible from the isolated room. Ascend back up to floor B2 using the outdoor walkway and defeat the Ice Like guarding a low arch by using fire-infused arrows to stun it.
  7. Proceed to the right to find a spiral staircase leading down to the long corridor.
  8. Prepare to face several Electric Likes down the hall. These enemies will shoot slow-moving electric orbs at you. Bait out the orbs by staying on one side of the corridor, then quickly move to the opposite side to stun and attack the Electric Likes when they reveal their weak spots.
  9. With the Electric Likes defeated you'll receive a message indicating that Zelda is now at the main Sanctum.

Part 8: The Final Confrontation - Boss Fight: Phantom Ganon

  1. Ascend from the corridor to the second floor of the Sanctum and prepare for the final confrontation with Phantom Ganon.
  2. Phantom Ganon will summon four other phantoms to aid him in the battle. Each phantom has its own health bar and will aggressively attack you in succession.
  3. Stay grounded and observe the charging patterns of Phantom Ganon and his minions. Utilize backflips or side hops to dodge their powerful strikes and aim for Flurry Rush to unleash rapid attacks.
  4. If you miss a dodge, be prepared for consecutive attacks from multiple Phantom Ganons. Block incoming blows whenever possible and tap ZL to switch targets.
  5. Remember that the phantoms are immune to elemental effects, so focus on mastering the Flurry Rush to secure victory.
  6. Watch out for charged spin attacks and adjust your strategy accordingly. Keep your distance if necessary.
  7. Defeat the phantoms one by one to obtain their weapons, Gloom Swords, and Demon King Bows. Use these weapons when your own equipment is close to breaking, but be mindful of the toll they take on your health.
  8. During the second phase, prevent the central Phantom Ganon from creating a pool of Gloom that spreads throughout the arena. Use strong materials to infuse your arrows and target the center to temporarily stun Phantom Ganon and halt the Gloom creation.
  9. Adapt to the phantoms' new attacks when they wield large two-handed clubs. Dodge their leaping slam attacks and maintain focus on all five targets.
  10. Interrupt the phantoms' attempts to summon Gloom and press the offense as their numbers dwindle. But remain vigilant and avoid leaving yourself vulnerable to surprise attacks.
  11. Defeat the full group of phantoms for the second time, leading to the appearance of the true Ganondorf.
  12. Witness a climactic scene where Ganondorf retreats, leaving Hyrule Castle desolate and empty.
  13. Regroup with the heroes at Lookout Landing and follow their advice to also regroup and prepare for the next steps in the crisis at Hyrule Castle.
