"Dead by Daylight" came out at different times on different machines. It first came to Windows on June 14, 2016. Then, it came to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 20, 2017 (in North America), June 22, 2017 (in Australia), and June 23, 2017 (in Europe). On September 24, 2019, Nintendo Switch players got it, and on April 17, 2020, Android and iPhone users could play.
Stadia players started on October 1, 2020, and Xbox Series X/S players on November 10, 2020. PlayStation 5 players in North America got it on November 12, 2020, and in Europe on November 19, 2020. These different release dates let players on different machines try out the game's special horror gameplay at their own speed.
