Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game that was released in 2023. The game was developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver and serves as a sequel to the popular 2011 video game, Dead Island. It is also the third major installment in the Dead Island series.
Taking place approximately 17 years after the events of the previous games, Dead Island 2 is set in Los Angeles and San Francisco, both of which have been placed under quarantine due to a zombie outbreak. One of the ways in which Dead Island 2 differs from its predecessors is through its setting, which features a more urban environment.
