The first episode of Dead Mount Death Play started with Corpse God, an unmatched necromancer, using his magical powers to dismember soldiers. Despite their efforts, the soldiers were unable to defeat him, leading to the intervention of the Calamity Crusher, a renowned hero. After a long and arduous fight, the hero killed Corpse God with his sword. Before his death, however, Corpse God cast a spell that reincarnated him into the body of Polka Shinoyama. Upon waking up, Corpse God realized he was in the body of a young boy with a split throat, which made speaking difficult. While wandering around the city in amazement, a drone was seen monitoring Shinoyama, and someone on the other end was astonished that the boy was still alive.
Soon after, Corpse God was apprehended by two policemen due to his blood-stained shirt and split throat. Before they could question him, however, an assassin named Misaki Sakimiya rescued him and fled with him. In a secluded alley, Misaki revealed that she had been assigned to kill Shinoyama and was surprised to see him still alive. Corpse God accessed his body's memories and realized that Misaki was the one responsible for Shinoyama's death. He fled from her, and she chased him with the intention of finishing the job. In a Yakuza execution ground building, Corpse God used his Evil Eye to see ghosts and activated his magical abilities to kill Misaki with a skeletal hand.
The episode ended with Calamity Crusher expressing concerns about his job being unfinished due to a spell activation that resembled teleportation magic. However, he discovered Corpse God's body and learned from the church that there was no evidence of his soul being in this realm.
