Echo and the Bunnymen Band

Echo & the Bunnymen is a rock band that started in Liverpool in 1978. The original members were Ian McCulloch, who sang, Will Sergeant, who played the guitar, and Les Pattinson, who played the bass. In 1980, Pete de Freitas joined the band as the drummer.

Their first album, "Crocodiles," came out in 1980 and became popular, reaching the top 20 on the UK Albums Chart. They followed it with "Heaven Up Here" in 1981. While they were already known among fans, they became even more famous in 1983 when they had a big hit in the UK with a song called "The Cutter," and their album "Porcupine" reached number 2 in the UK.

In 1984, their album "Ocean Rain" continued their success in the UK, especially with the song "The Killing Moon," which made it into the top 10.

In 1987, they released an album with the same name as the band. After that, McCulloch left, and a singer named Noel Burke took his place. Unfortunately, in 1989, de Freitas had a motorcycle accident and passed away. McCulloch and Sergeant worked on a project called Electrafixion. Then, in 1997, they got back together with Pattinson and returned as Echo & the Bunnymen. However, Pattinson left in 1998. Since the late 1990s, the band has been touring and releasing albums with varying degrees of success.
