A man has been apprehended by the Turbo police in connection with the alleged murder of his 32-year-old partner, Sheila Jepkemboi, at Kibolo hamlet in Kaptebee.
The incident, believed to be fueled by a love triangle, involved Eliud Kipchoge, who stands accused of killing Jepkemboi on June 13. According to reports, the two engaged in a heated argument while drinking.
The situation escalated when Kipchoge allegedly threatened to stab them, prompting neighbors to intervene. Unfortunately, their attempts to diffuse the situation were unsuccessful. Once the commotion subsided, the neighbors discovered that Kipchoge had fled, but they also found Jepkemboi's lifeless body.
Officers from Kipkaren Police Station arrived at the scene and transported the deceased to the mortuary at Kipkaren Hospital. According to John Kirwa, Jepkemboi's spouse, Kipchoge, the alleged perpetrator, had also threatened to kill him when confronted about his wife's extramarital affair.
Kirwa claimed that he had repeatedly advised Kipchoge to stay away from his wife, but the suspect continued to issue death threats. Kirwa further revealed that he had reported the threats to the Turbo police station, but no action was taken. Kirwa expressed his regret, stating that if his complaints had been taken seriously by the authorities, his wife might still be alive today.

The head was discovered in Murgor village, in the Sosian River, and has been sent to the Kimbilio Funeral Home for further examination through an autopsy.

The body of the deceased has been transferred to the mortuary at Kimbilio Funeral Home, where it awaits identification and the completion of an autopsy. After the assault, Langat turned to his father, who had responded to the distressed call made by the woman. In a disturbing turn of events, Langat also attempted to harm his father but was unable to do so successfully.
