In the game "Eternights," when you're in a fight, it's like a fast-paced action game where you use slashing moves to defeat enemies. If you manage to dodge an enemy's attack really well, time slows down, giving you a better chance to counterattack. If you hit an enemy many times in a short period, you can do a combo, which lets you perform a powerful attack or a finishing move.
When you fight, you also charge up something called the Elemental Gauge. This happens when you attack enemies or do perfect dodges. If you collect enough of it, you can use it to unleash a powerful Elemental Fist attack, which can break through enemy defenses if you do a quick-time event correctly.
During battles, you can also spend something called SP to use special abilities. These special moves come from other characters in the game.
