So, in this article, we will see every detail related to Everspace 2 game like what is it about, and how to play the game, and all will be covered here.

Everspace 2 Walkthrough

Everspace 2 is a popular single-player space exploration and combat game developed and published by ROCKFISH Games. It features a vast universe with different star systems, diverse factions, a variety of spacecraft. Here's a brief walkthrough to help you get started with the game:

The Wingman (Part 1)

This is the first mission in Everspace 2, and it begins with a little lesson before throwing you into the action. Follow the mining convoy and listen to some talk before Ben asks you to perform some tutorial moves. This includes strafing to the left and right, hovering to the right and left, rolling your ship to the left and right, and boosting to the right.

After that, charge your Cruise Drive with F by default to get to Craig Calahan faster. Cruise Drive can be used practically anywhere as long as you're not too close to anything or being shot. When you reach Calahan, he'll tell you of a Hydra infestation that's obstructing a gate. All you have to do is follow the on-screen instructions and blast those strange mushroom-like monsters.

After the gate opens, go inside and wait for the next gate to open. Continue flying down the tunnel, where more Hydras can be found around the walls. You'll eventually come upon a lootable "Wreck" container that you can search by going close to it. Make careful to plunder any other Wreck containers you come across.

Following that, you'll come upon a barred gate that, as Ben advises, may be blown up with missiles. Inside the cave, proceed beyond the structure at the middle and to the back right behind a cave pillar. You'll come upon a ship floating in space that assaults you after thanking you for coming to aid. Take out the outlaw ship and loot a floating Coil Gun from its debris.

You can equip the Coil Gun as a secondary weapon by going to your inventory and pressing Tab. Prepare for another drone battle. Following the task markers to some destructible security bolts now that the drones have been destroyed. Once all three have been destroyed, proceed through the open tunnel to initiate a cutscene. You must now eliminate a swarm of bandits attacking the G&B caravan.

Destroy outlaw ships until you receive an objective update that allows you to check on Ben. Proceed to his spacecraft, where a lengthy sequence will occur, finishing the task.

Flying Blind

After finishing The Wingman (Part 1), the Flying Blind mission begins. Because you can't continue your escape due to the Jump Suppressors, you'll need to disable them in some way. Fly over to the task point or keep travelling until the Jump Suppressor signal nears 100% at the top of the screen. The greater the proportion, the closer you are.

Once there, eliminate any hostiles in the area before flying close to the suppressor to disable it. By default, you'll have to interact with it by pressing F. Now proceed to one of the two objective markers. You may encounter some outlaw ships along the road, so be prepared for further action. Furthermore, the suppressors are protected by turrets and drones.

Whatever objective you choose, move in close like the first one and disable it. Enter supralight travel/Jump Drive to exit the region once you've successfully removed all three Jump Suppressors. After a little moment, Dax will direct you to the Rhodia II site. Locate the location marker and use auto-pilot to arrive fast.

Now that you've arrived in Rhodia II, proceed to the Homebase marker to initiate a cutscene and complete the Flying Blind quest.

From Scratch

After finishing Flying Blind, the Everspace 2 task From Scratch begins. Dax discloses after the cutscene that he implanted two new devices in your ship. These are skills that you can use and replace as you discover new ones while playing the game. When you're ready, leave the hangar and take Cruise Drive to a nearby indicated debris field. You may get the resources described below for Dax right here.

1 Cooling Unit ,11 Scrap Metal, 14 Aetheum Crystal Shards

The Edge of the Universe

After completing From Scratch, the mission Edge of the Universe begins. You must travel to three different places and activate devices to divert enemy radars for this task. According to Dax, these devices are known as bean bags. Exit the hangar and use Jump Drive to reach one of the three objectives. The Rhodia Orbit bean bag serves as the starting point for this tutorial.

  • Rhodia Orbit Bean Bag

Once you enter this zone, keep on Cruise Drive until you reach the objective, which is a group of perpetrators. Since there are plenty close, don't be surprised if they tear down your shield. You may have Nanobots in your inventory that you can use to repair your hull. When equipped, they will appear on your hotkey bar in the bottom right corner.

You may be near a secret container depending on where you confronted the outlaws. Going to an Energy Sphere Dispenser, obtaining an energy sphere from it, and delivering it to an Energy Socket is required. When you get close to the dispenser or the socket, marks appear on your HUD. While not essential for The Edge of the Universe, it is recommended.

You may be near a secret container depending on where you confronted the outlaws.Going to an Energy Sphere Dispenser, obtaining an energy sphere from it, and delivering it to an Energy Socket is required. When you get close to the dispenser or the socket, marks appear on your HUD. While this is not essential for The Edge of the Universe, it is recommended because there are more opportunities for loot like this.

After bringing thesphere to the socket, release it to open an adjacent door that contains two containers. Returning to the mission, you'll notice that the bean bag objective is missing two antennae. Your character creates a crash path that shows the direction each antenna floated in. Each antenna's yellow hologram is shown here. You'll ultimately find the antenna if you follow the direction of each hologram.

Take each one and return it to the broken bean bag. When you get close to a bean bag with an antenna, it will instantly bond to you.

  • Bean Bag Union Bridge

Cruise Drive over to the Union Bridge system's objective to find a broken bean bag. When your character sees a disconnected Power Core nearby, he assumes this is the source of the problem. As a result, Dax informs you that it is an ambush. Once the outlaws have been dealt with, all that remains is to clear some debris surrounding the bean bag. Simply grab the trash with your ship and discard it to repair the bean bag.

  • CETO Outer Rim Bean Bag

You may notice a goal flickering on the edge of your HUD at random for the main mission objective. This is the errant marker mentioned in the objective The Edge of the Universe. Keep an eye out for it and try to pin it down. It will eventually take you to an asteroid where the bean bag is infested with hydras. Destroy the strange mushrooms from the first Everspace 2 quest to clean up the bean bag.

  • Return to the Homebase

Return to Rhodia II and enter the homebase through the blue forcefield. You'll get some fresh chat with Dax as you learn more about him. Dax will give you Plating for your ship if you did not purchase it at The Flying Dutchess. Then, go to the homebase Storage tab and equip the Plating to move the quest forward.

In Transit

After finishing the task The Edge of the Universe, In Transit begins. Return to Union Bridge, where there is a trade post. You may purchase a Primesense STA item here for 4,200 credits. Luckily, the trader here gives you a job for 2,500 credits, which he later raises to 3,500 credits.

  • Following the purchase of the Primesense STA

Leave the trading outpost now that you have the Primesense STA to initiate a cutscene with Dax. You'll need a medical pod after discovering that there are no medical stations in the system.  Locate the medical supplies at the Nerea Transit Point where the convoy is. When you arrive at Nerea Transit Point, a cutscene shows the convoy ships being thoroughly checked.

To locate the medical supplies, search each indicated convoy ship by stealing a container attached to it. This will take a few seconds, so take care not to get scanned. Fortunately, you can be scanned just once before the AI attacks. The trick is to hack the terminal connected to each scanning bay.

  • Hack the Distribution Terminal

Fly to a nearby distribution terminal and approach it to interact. This causes a cutscene in which it seems to work at first, but then activates a security system. You may flee the region by jumping to Rhodia II, but you won't be able to do so if you keep getting shot. Use the Energised Boost beginning device to boost away from the rivals and safely jump out of the location. Return to the home base to see a cutscene with Dax.

Spares & Scrap

In Transit, Dax will send you to Nephtys Plains for jump keys after you complete the assignment. Use your Jump Drive to get to the new site, where you will encounter several outlaws attacking a G&B station. In Everspace 2, this is where you'll initially be able to purchase new ships. After you've destroyed all of the bandit ships, dock in the Nephtys Plains Station to speak with Officer Shaw.

You can get work here before continuing the Spares & Scrap assignment. These look to be secondary missions for acquiring faction rank as well as rewards.

  • Deal With the Mine Raiders

Now exit the station to deal with some local bandits. Officer Shaw suggests that if you can get rid of these bandits, he may give you some jump keys. Because you're low to the earth, you can utilize your Cruise Drive to fly up high and see your targets more clearly. Fly over to the crystal cavern to deal with the raiders who are defending the entrance. After that, go inside to deal with any remaining outlaws.

Go over to the desert mine entrance and enter. Prepare for Outlaw Detonator Drones, which are suicide bomber drones. Continue investigating the desert mine until every outlaw ship inside has been killed. Once you've completed the assignment, the mission objective will update to inform you to return to the surface.

You'll need to kill an Elite Outlaw Scout with a lot of armour here. Make sure to employ high-kinetic-damage weaponry against them. Return to the Nephtys Plains Station, where Officer Shaw is, once the leader is killed.

  • Jump to Charybdis Bowl For Jump Keys

To continue your Spares & Scrap goal of locating jump keys, go to Charybdis Bowl, where there is a junkyard. A wrecked jump gate is on the surface, with tonnes of wreckage all over the place. You'll find some secret containers if you investigate the area sufficiently. The container you need to find is near a massive jump gate ring, as indicated in the screenshot above.

When you get close, a container called "Jump Gate Module" will appear. Loot this to help the mission. A Jump Suppressor signal appears before you can jump.

  • Finding the Jump Suppressor Signal

As you try to go closer to the suppressor, use Cruise Drive in that direction. If the percentage increases, you're on the right track. You'll soon become stuck inside additional wreckage. Proceed deeper underground, avoiding laser traps and shutting doors. If you're having trouble, simply wait for an opportunity to use your boost through the moving doors. You'll eventually come upon a blue forcefield that you must disarm.

Find a nearby battery and insert it into an empty generator by the shield. This will disclose a closed section containing two Shield Generators, which you can destroy. Return to the surface by passing through the forcefield, which is now disabled. When you leave the facility, an AI named Banjack will request that you not depart. After you've finished speaking with Banjack, dock at the neighboring G&B Scrapyard station.

  • Returning to Rhodia II's base of operations

If you are unable to obtain leap keys, return to Rhodia II. The doctor within the medical pod has awoken, according to Dax. When you enter the home base, a sequence will play that appears to lack voice acting.

Ceto Ghost Hunt

You must now locate an HIVE unit in order to jump. The initial stage is to locate three distractor bases that are impeding the path of a Ceto Ghost Fleet.

  • First Undiscovered Site

The first uncharted location features an abandoned ship with Outlaw Turrets affixed and a neighbouring Outlaw Viper (Leader) ship. While it does not appear that the Viper must be destroyed, you can blow it up for a Location Challenge. You'll also acquire some good treasure from them if you can. You can leave the zone for the next one once your character realises there isn't a distractor base here.

  • First Distractor Base

The second unexplored location has a distractor base teeming with hostiles. Prepare to face sniper drones, detonating drones, and a slew of turrets. Attempt to destroy the ships first, then make your way past each turret to safely destroy the objectives mentioned below. Each listed structure should be in the same region, surrounded by turrets.

After destroying all nine structures, a station core will become susceptible. Destroy this before proceeding to the next distractor base. 2 communication channels, 2 fuel tanks, 1 energy coil, and 4 turrets

  • Second Distractor Base

Once you've reached the second distractor base, destroy it in the same manner as the first. Be wary of drones and turrets, which can rapidly destroy your ship. If your hull sustains damage, nanobots are an excellent backup. Take out the now-vulnerable station core after you've eliminated each of the base constructions listed below.
Two fuel tanks, four energy coils, and three turrets.

  • Return to Rhodia II's home base

The most recent mission sends you back to the homebase to learn the location of the third distractor base. When you get home, Dax will tell you that the final distractor is at Palaemon's Wound. Unfortunately, there is a deadly base at this site, but at least Dax is along for the adventure. Repair and replenish your ship before proceeding to Palaemon's Wound.

  • Meet Dax at Palaemon’s Wound.

To continue Ceto Ghost Hunt, just demolish a bunch of ships and structures, as you did with prior distractor bases. Don't be concerned about Dax; he can hold his own. Fair warning: if you try to destroy the Outlaw Destroyer ship in the region, it has a lot of health. All structures that must be demolished are mentioned here. If you don't know how to defeat Bomb Throwers, simply grab the bomb they throw at you and throw it back. This will disable its shield and allow you to shoot it.
9 Tanks of Fue, l7 Power Coils ,1 Missile Silo 2 Bomb Dispensers, 1 Core Station

  • Visit the Ghost Fleet.

After you've destroyed all three distractor bases, proceed to the Ghost Fleet destination. Aside from a few outlaws on patrol, begin looking for AI Unit containers in the region. After exploring three AI Unit containers, the Bloodstar Chief, also known as the gas mask, will appear. Prepare for your first employer by following our advice below.

  • Hack the Union Bridge Jump Gate Open

Make your way with Dax to the Union Bridge jump gate. You'll need to hack the gate because the abandoned HIVE unit is still a little weird. Follow the mission marker to the terminal on the right side of the gate. Interacting with it will hack it and cause another cutscene to play. After a while, a mystery ship will appear, stunning both Dax and the gate. After the cutscene, you'll have to face this unknown Elite G&B Fighter.

Once it has taken enough damage, this fighter will teleport away a good distance. Simply utilise your Cruise Drive to move closer to the conflict. You'll eventually receive an objective to travel to Dax, where a cutscene will occur. When it returns to the homebase with the doctor, another cutscene will begin.

Old Friends

  • Travel Through the Union Bridge Gate

Return to the Union Bridge, where you can access the Ceto Transit Gate. When you reach the opposite side, you'll be joined by a new companion, the HIVE unit. If your inventory is frequently overflowing, the Autonomous Cargo Dispatcher is a beneficial addition. Now proceed to Prescott Starbase, where you should find a man named Maddocks.

Apart from the fact that Prescott Starbase is a really cool city, you can also find new ships and stuff in the many shops.

  • Meet Daryl and Head to Cephas Downs

Travel to Kato Palace to meet Daryl and learn more about Maddocks. Before Daryl will trust you enough to tell you where Maddocks is, you must accomplish a task for him. Leave Prescott Starbase and travel to Cephas Downs. Follow the mission marker into a tunnel that leads to an underground settlement.

The Everspace 2 early access primary plot will be completed once you land at the abandoned settlement. This also completes the Old Friends assignment. Before you depart the settlement, check the neighbouring container for a quest item. A letter is addressed to the owner of the Flying Dutchess in the Cephas Cabernet Sauvignon item. There could be a prize if you return this to her.

Everspace 2 Guide

Because this is a tutorial, the on-screen instructions are fairly clear and straightforward as this is the tutorial. Pay close attention to them. Certain controls (boosting, firing) will be blocked until the tutorial requires them. Stay with the caravan until one of the miners (Krazinski) reports that his engines have broken. Bring Ben over to him and wait for a second for him to mend it.

Ben will demonstrate how to move, so pay attention to his instructions. There will be on-screen instructions with the controls you must utilize. Wait for the talk with Calahan to end before shooting the hydras (green/blue aquatic plants) at the entrance. They simply shoot one or two shots and can't hurt you. Once cleared, fly through the tunnel to the mine's core. There will be various wrecks and hydras on the walls that can be destroyed.

There are also some lootable containers and wrecks, although there is little use in examining them. There are also some lootable containers and ruins, yet looting them is pointless because you lose everything after the task. When you reach the end of the tunnel, there will be a breakable wall blocking the entrance to the core. When you blow it open with a missile, an Outlaw drone will emerge, which you must destroy.

Then you'll need to hack a console to unlock the next door. An Outlaw Ravager will be concealed behind the pillar on the right within the core. Inside is the Bloodstar chief of an Outlaw clan. He initially thinks Hero is his rescue squad, but soon realizes he is from G&B and assaults. He has a good amount of HP yet isn't difficult to kill. He drops a level 1 coil gun, which is quite rare.

Shortly after Calahan and the miners arrive, a massive drill will be drilling through the asteroid to allow an Outlaw Scout, drones, and Webber drones to enter. The miners cannot be killed here. Ben will offer you some nanobots when you vanquish them. Then, on the edge of the drill hole, you must smash three security bolts. After you destroy them, the hatch will open, allowing you to fly through.

Once outside, there will be a short cinematic depicting the combat outside between a G&B patrol and a large Outlaw force led by an Outlaw Destroyer. The mission does not require you to engage in any combat. When Ben begins to burn after some time, go over to him. When you get close enough, the mission will end and the first animation cinematic will play, showing Hero being captured.
