F1 23 Gameplay
F1 23 brings back the "Braking Point" story mode from F1 2021. This mode features characters like Devon Butler, the main rival, and Aiden Jackson, the hero. It also introduces new characters like Callie Mayer, Devon's sister, and their dad, Davidoff Butler, who runs Butler Global. Casper Akkerman, a retired driver, joins as a mentor and later becomes the Team Principal for Konnersport. Andreo Konner, the founder of Konnersport, makes an appearance too.
The game has better driving physics and an option to set a 35% race distance. Red flags return after last being seen in F1 2014. The game's look is more like a real Formula One race. New additions to the My Team Icons pack include famous names like Nigel Mansell, Jamie Chadwick, Pastor Maldonado, and Kamui Kobayashi.
"F1 World" expands on "F1 Life" from F1 22, tying together all game modes, including ranked, esports, and offline and online modes. It also brings back the Podium Pass. There's now a safety rating for online players, and you can even disable it if you want. You can upgrade your "F1 World" car and hire new team members using in-game rewards. You can't buy these upgrades with real money.
F1 23 Plot
In the 2022 season, Aiden Jackson joins the Konnersport Butler Global Racing Team after struggling to find a team. This team was founded by Andreo Konner and funded by Davidoff Butler, who is the father of Devon Butler. During the Miami Grand Prix, Aiden's car loses power, and he has to retire from the race. Devon, on the other hand, manages to score some points for the team. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, Butler is told to let Jackson pass, but he doesn't follow the order. Aiden overtakes Butler and finishes the race ahead. Aiden faces more challenges with a slow pit stop at the Japanese Grand Prix, leading him to decide whether to stay with the team or leave.
In F2, Callie Mayer, Butler's sister, becomes the first female Formula 2 Champion with the help of retired driver Casper Akkerman.
In the 2023 season, Akkerman becomes the new team principal of Konnersport, and Aiden decides to stay with the team. Devon faces difficulties as he loses focus and ignores team orders. Casper tries to help Devon, but during the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Devon crashes his car and leaves the team. It's revealed that Butler had tinnitus before the 2023 season, which he kept secret. Konnersport needs a new driver, and Davidoff says that Butler Global will pull funding if they don't finish fifth or higher. Akkerman chooses to sign Callie as Devon's replacement.
