Although Niantic did not initially disclose the specific requirements and tasks for the Collection Challenge, completing it will reward players with a Lure Module and 20,000 XP.
Festival of Colors Collection Challenge
The tasks and rewards for the Festival of Colors 2023 Collection Challenge are as follows:

Shiny Medicham can be found, but shiny Bruxish won't be available. Mega Medicham will appear in Mega Raids, while Bruxish will be found in One-Star Raids and as wild spawns.
The raid schedule for the event includes One-Star Raids with Espurr, Rockruff, Mareanie, and Bruxish (without shiny encounter), Three-Star Raids with Exeggutor, Alolan Exeggutor (with shiny encounter), Cryogonal, and Druddigon (with shiny encounter), Five-Star Raids with Ho-Oh (with shiny encounter), and Mega-Star Raids with Mega Medicham (with shiny encounter).
Apart from the new Pokemon, the Festival of Colors 2023 in Pokemon GO offers various event bonuses, such as Lure Modules that last for three hours when activated during the occasion. Trainers will also have a chance of encountering Shiny Smeargle through AR snapshots, and Friendship levels will increase at twice the usual rate.
In addition, Indian trainers playing Pokemon GO during the Festival of Colors 2023 will receive various bonuses, including double Catch XP and an increased frequency of encountering a special set of wild Pokemon. Completing Field Research tasks will also grant trainers a chance to catch Unown G and Unown O. It is not uncommon for Pokemon GO to offer region-specific benefits, as evidenced by the recent addition of Hawlucha, which is exclusively available in Mexico.

Gameplay of Pokemon Go
After players establish a game account, they can create and personalize their own avatars, which are then displayed on a map that corresponds to the player's physical location. The map features various locations such as 'PokéStops' and 'Pokémon Gyms'. 'Lure Modules' can be attached to PokéStops, which attract more wild and sometimes rare Pokémon. Gyms are used for team-based battles and are usually located at places of interest, often repurposed portals from Niantic's previous game, Ingress. This has led to some PokéStops and Gyms being situated in inconvenient or hazardous locations, like the now-removed Gym at the Korean Demilitarized Zone and the abandoned Bagram Airforce Base, which was vacated by U.S. forces in July 2021. Since 2019, players have also been able to submit new locations for inclusion in the game, which are largely evaluated by other players.
